    4th Of July in Mexico

holy shit so last night I found out that the biggest display of fireworks in Baja is going off tonight literally directly in front of my apartment across from Lobster Village

Heard there may be a fucking huge motorcycle convoy coming from Mexicali.

Already 300 cars parked outside the arch, and it's barely 2 PM

I'm going to have a front row seat for it all right from my balcony.

I'm sorry but how can you beat a few thousand drunk ass Mexicans lighting off dangerous illegal explosives ? There is already a huge buzz right now on the street. I can't wait.

Also, I did take the liberty of stockpiling a modest stash

got a nice little bag of LEGIT M-80's for 11 bucks....the Mexicans love to light these off on the beach in Rosarito and scare the shit out the gringos. Anyone within 200 yards gets a nice little wake up call lol

Also scored 5 huge Roman Candles, and 2 of these big skyrockets. The fireworks shops in Mexico are hilarious. If you got caught with some of the shit they sell inside the U.S. ....well you're going to JAIL ...not here though.

Saving a 20 dollar cherry bomb for the right moment tonight. It's basically a tennis ball packed full of gunpowder. Goes off with authority, just one step below a small stick of dynamite lol

I'd love to light this cherry bomb off in downtown L.A. and see how fast they send in SWAT teams

will update this thread as things develop over the course of the evening

    Expecting some major shenanigans

Here's the vantage point from my balcony....they are setting it all up at the back of the lot to the right.

I literally have the best seat in the house for tonight's festivities.

I guess when you can't afford $3 worth of antibiotics to save my life, expecting you to have furniture that you didn't drag out of a Mexican dumpster is optimistic.

Gotta be honest with you, I don't think bottomset is clever enough for the winnie dupe. Plz post pictures tomorrow of the show.

    bottomset is actually pretty clever.

Much of his persona is a big level. There's actually a lot of genius in what he does, which is why I rarely interfere with it, provided he doesn't step over the line (which he rarely does).

I don't know who "Winnie" is, though. Never bothered to even check. Maybe it's bottomset, maybe it's not.

Anyway, Marty, I love a good fireworks display. Post video tomorrow.

Best fireworks I've ever seen were at Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC. Absolutely most amazing fireworks and ground pyrotechnics show I've ever seen. They do it every Saturday night in the summer. I saw it in August. Those Canucks really know their fireworks. Even my girlfriend, who typically doesn't love fireworks, was highly impressed.

    yea

    so far it's been disappointing

still early, but the display they just shot off was pretty depressing by normal 4th of July standards

lots of people on the streets...but the fireworks so far have been bush league

I may just walk down to lobster village and see what the deal is

oh and I'd snap some pics/video....but about 3 weeks ago my Sanyo digital camera got jacked from my Jeep when I had the top off and parked to have some dinner....my own fault for leaving it in plain sight....getting another one pretty soon I guess.

Marty must have really stuck his cock up your ass so far that you're trying to get under his skin by creating an account downgrading his dog. RIP Winnie

TIL Mexico celebrates 4th of July.
Wait what, do they just let off some fireworks because it's awesome or does the 4th have some cultural significance.

This gives you a little different perspective on the 4th. The responses made me tear up a bit.

    beautiful oceanfront

lobster village looks great. i'd have tried each place out by now, see who serves the best one

the bigger lobsters are for suckers. the smaller ones taste much better and the meat is more tender

there really is nothing like fresh lobster. you can pay $50 (or more) for lobster at an upscale restaurant that will never come close to something that was in the ocean a half hour ago
