Anyone remember where the first 'hot pole vaulter thread' was? I can't find it on boris, here or DD? Plenty of Stokke references, but no title match. Was it on Tyde or NWP?

Here is one from donkdown but the pic links are dead so who the fuck knows.

Then there is this so maybe it was NWP to begin with
IIRC this girl was creeped out by all the attention she received and wanted nothing more than some privacy.
Now she's doing product endorsements. Weird.
I started the whole "fixed your post" thing on the Internet.
To be honest, I regret that one.
PVG (Pole Vault Girl)
True story: I am pretty much responsible for this girl being popular.
The back story
8 or 9 years ago I was browsing this recruiting site for a college forum I posted on and came across Allison.
I decided to post her pictures and video to this forum I read and it blew up. At the time I didn't post her name and so everyone started referring to her as PVG. Quickly her pictures started spreading through the Rivals network and everyone referred to her as PVG.
I would read sports forums and eventually a PVG thread would pop up and I would laugh to myself knowing I started this creepy internet thing just by browsing this random recruiting site and posting an underage girls picture to a random schools Rivals board.
Is she vaulting again? I recall her adding a lil cushion for the pushin after college maybe? Looked ace.

This is the only one I remember being on pfa and it wasn't even a pole thread
.
Do you have a link to your original post?
I believe you, but I would still love to see it.
It always feels weird making claims like this, even when they're true, because nobody believes you and thinks that you're taking false credit for something big for which you were unlikely responsible.
I was the one who invented the term "superuser" to describe online poker holecard viewing. The term "superuser" itself was not invented by me -- it's actually a computer science term. But it had zero application to poker, until I made a post on 2+2 very early in the AP scandal in 2007 (one of the first posts about it), describing the hole card cheating, and referring to the cheater as a "superuser".
The term caught on, and to this day is commonly used to describe online poker cheating where hole cards are seen.
When I later took credit for the term, people made fun of me and called me Al Gore, referring to his claim about inventing the internet.
Haley Hintze then did some digging, and concluded that, yes, I was the first one ever to use the word "superuser" in relation to poker cheating. This was actually a passage in her book, which has yet to be released.
Sorry for the hijack.
Cliffs: I believe you.
druff quit typing about poker in this thread
Hot pvgs or gtfo
I don't think Rivals message boards keep more than 50 pages of posts or so.
i can't even see anything but my last like 10 posts on there. I am assuming this due to the sheer volume of posts college sport forums get.
What really set off PVG was someone reposting the pictures on to the FSU off-topic board. That Off Topic had way more people than the Iowa off topic board and it went crazy.
There is another thing I am responsible for (Erin Andrews burst of popularity) but I will create another thread so I don't distract from poly vault girl pictures.
