I was in Alberta recently and rented a truck and the normal price was 60 per day and 130 with insurance... i opted to not get the insurance as my credit card i used covers the insurance.

thankfully I had no issues with it that time.

Dates? Also I am pretty sure Canada fucks rental cars in the ass with taxes and fees. I remember like the advertised rate being like $29 a day and it costing me upwards of $60 after all the taxes.

visiting the old district in quebec city is definitely the way to go. Nothing quite like it in NA. Just be ready to drive and walk up lots of steep hills.
