I didn't know that groundhogs could climb trees

I have a mulberry tree in the backyard and this morning when I let the pup out saw a ground hog up in that tree. Fatties gonna fall.

Something to keep an eye on. Hogging the ground has proven effective for centuries.

Now they're focusing their dominance to new territories?

Limitles has a point; it is no longer a ground hog, it is now a tree hog.

You/puppy/baldheadedeagle scared the fattie. They only do that to escape predators. Or it was fat cat or a squirrel.

Not so sure, as that is why they dominate the ground so well. Holes.

Birds or other predators are better above ground in most cases.

No fattie was eating the mulberries

I believe you are mistaken sir. A treehog sighting is almost as rare as seeing a Sasquatch, and very few pictures exist...

Nah they are kinda weak on the ground. Underground they're fine. They move to the trees when they can't easily get underground.
