Greater TOURNAMENT poker player, I would agree. Skill wise, he's the Michael Jordan of tournament poker, even though for years he has had a Ricky Henderson-like maturity level. But how has he done in cash games? IMO, cash games in the long run at the highest level requires a more subtle gamemanship, because you dont want to piss off the rich fish with cockiness such that they DON'T want to even play with you. In fact, you want to make them feel that they really have a shot, and your past winning against them should seem to them to be mostly due to your good luck/their bad luck. Hellmuth's ego issues likely get in the way of him doing that because he constantly refers to how great he is.
