The CT Police come and while filling out the report, he asks them, "hey..do you have the guy on camera?" and CT Police tell him: "Foxwoods doesn't have working cameras in the poker area, just the pits"(!).
All Foxwoods did for the guy was give him a free buffet voucher. Abhorrent, considering ppl go to casinos as supposed to home games because of the "they are more secure" meme

That's happened numerous times at Foxwoods.
Apparently this douche is still at the rio playing ofc
Poker news interviewed him and he denied this and the other previous allegations.
Says he was paid and will be playing more events
wesrwood, I guess we will have to see each other during the Main.
I am not really in the mood to see people after playing since 10am and going back empty handed.
I left early yesterday anyways. 8 days of Vegas was too much. Feels like I have the flu. I'll be back for day 1c of the main . Go to you rest of the series and I hope they get to the bottom of this cocoa guy
So it seems that perhaps he didn't get paid after all?

So if he didn't get paid he obviously cheated right?
Cause that means he lied to poker news about being paid
DUTCH WEBSITE SAYS IT SELLS MARKED WSOP CARDS...
with the special sun glasses or mini camera! http://www.pokernews.com/news/2015/0...ards-21835.htm
I agree with DN's comment about the cards not being very good. I also found it difficult to easily distinguish between spades and clubs. I thought it was just because I am getting old and need reading glasses for small print. Hopefully some of my opponents in the senior event will have this problem!
was kinda hoping this was a Dutch Boyd website.
odd name, tho, Gamble Romania, for a site located in the Netherlands.
According to a report from a friend, Ty Stewart (head of WSOP) was FURIOUS that Pokernews did the article directing people to this Dutch site with the marked Modiano WSOP cards.
He came in to talk to Donny Peters, an editor at Pokernews. The two went outside, and according to the source, he was "screaming" at Donny.
This is unconfirmed, but the person who told me tends to be pretty reliable.
I actually understand Stewart's anger here. Honestly it was kind of irresponsible for Pokernews to direct people to find that shady site, but let's face it -- these things get spread around via social media anyway. Regardless, if Stewart should have handled it more calmly if the report is accurate.
Anyone can google and find these sites easily (see my previous post in this thread) so poker news if only reporting on something that anyone with a browser can do. All the bluster and yelling indicates defensivness to me (this seems to occur a lot with these guys) and as such I just don't trust them to be on top of the cheating technology, so better to shine a light and force them to deal with it kicking and screaming and meanwhile player beware.
Ty Stewart posted this rebuttal on a Flushdraw.net article about the marked-WSOP-cards-for-purchase Pokernews article:
The above is likely what he yelled at Donny Peters about.Just a little note. These cards, supposedly the “exact” ones used at the WSOP, are neither the size, design or material of the tournament cards. they are simply a variation of our retail decks, which have been available for the past 10 years. in that time, no retail deck has ever been introduced into WSOP play. we obviously use certain safeguards with new decks, deck rotation, etc. not to mention the delivery of a unique dated card available only at the WSOP to prevent any such fraud, and good luck to anyone thinking they can slip in a deck looking like the one promoted on that site. It’s like believing a pee wee football bought at target might be introduced by tom brady in the super bowl without notice. It is almost comical, that PokerNews “Story” contains an image of said cards, which to anyone who has been around the WSOP this summer is obviously not an exact copy of the WSOP. It would be nice if anyone would fact check, or at least not overlook obvious inconsistencies in a rush to create controversy and tarnish the WSOP. But I suppose that’s just the world we live in.
I did wonder how this Dutch site would have been able to manufacture exact replicas of the special WSOP cards (which are not available for purchase).
I think Stewart is probably correct here.
However, I still think Coca cheated through infrared solutions or something like that.
interesting nugget by the other david baker about the cards and dealers:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...EnIHjWsYc/edit
a dealer also told me that they are specifically instructed not to talk about the cards in the dealer meetings
