I guess the hardcore fans in the poker community are all wondering where Phil Ivey is and why he hasn't played an event in the WSOP.

The answer is losing his ass on pokerstars to this guy. I read it was a blood bath and Ivey kept reloading for 10 to 20k then busting it every 10 or so minutes only to rinse and repeat.

You're reading wsop completely wrong. The listed chip counts are people they know. More than likely there's about 200 left as it's just day 1

Playing the 10k 08 championship at 4pm tomorrow. They had a mega tonight at 8pm but didn't end up playing it. I'm glad I didn't. Jeanne played it and said the structure was so bad and quick that after an hour almost everyone had 2-3 bets at most.

I hate how it's now standard in vegas to call the game 08. Is there anywhere in the world that plays the game with a different qualifier than an 8???? I've played hi low everywhere and I can never ever remember playing with a different qualifier than an 8. Call it split. Call it hi low. Hell make up your own name for it but calling it 08 is dumb as fuck.


If there are places in the world that play it with a 7 qualifier or 9 qualifier or no qualifier at all I take it all back.
