Postmates Delivery Service- Anyone use this before?

Up until 2 and a half years ago, I lived in a condo I owned on West Flamingo about 3 miles from the strip. Due to the proximity of the strip and china town, they were always a ton of choices for 24 hour food.

I live now in Summerlin, about 17 -20 miles away from the strip, but I am literally 1/4 mile from US95 which is a direct route (merging on to I-15) to get to the strip.

Living out here is awesome. All families, very low crime, noise etc except restaurants all close at 9pm during the week and 10 at the latest on the weekend. Furthermore, my choices for delivery are limited to fail pizza chains and one or 2 bad Chinese restaurants.

They had this service here for years called foodrunner that would deliver a wide range in Vegas but the closed early, had a limited selection of restaurants and charged a pretty high price for delivery, service charges etc.

Today I've been relaxing all day at home getting ready for the circus tomorrow and felt like some Cuban food. Black beans and rice, Cuban sandwhich etc. Only problem is that there is only one Cuban restaurant in Vegas. It's located in a shady part of the strip (next to the little white chapel), has awful parking, is like 30 minutes away at least and I just didn't feel like driving.

So for the hell of it I google the restaurants name with "delivery" in the title. A business comes up names "postmates" which is in just about every major city in the U.S. but only started delivering here early this year.

I download the app (can't apparently order on a pc) and find the restaurant, place my order, register my account etc.

I see at checkout that it's $17 to deliver to my house. I find a coupon online for first time users for $15 off. I also find a coupon that states it will always work and is $10 off. I place the order. Enter my cc (you cant use cash) and immediately a live gps map appears showing the various drivers all over Vegas. After about 3 minutes of scanning the city live (as I am watching) it finds a driver. His profile (with his picture), name and phone number appear on my phone. He texts me within 2 minutes stating he is going to pick up my food now.

Still waiting for him as I type this but I thought this was pretty cool, especially if you can get the delivery fee in the under $10 range everytime.

Browsing the site I saw that they have drivers working 24/7 and will bring you other services besides food. You want some new sneakers and don't feel like leaving? Need a new cell charger? Smokes and beer? Literally anything legal. They will price it, you pre-pay and they will bring it to you.

For shits and giggles I tried to order a mac book pro. It gave me a similar price to what best buy would sell it for, added on tax, and a $20 fee and said once I confirmed my order (they store your cc info on the app), the mac book would be at my house within 90 minutes.

Maybe this is a moonlanding but I've never heard of this.

Oh and I literally can track him in real time to see how close my food is to being delivered. He is on Summerlin Parkway as we speak about 3 miles away.

There's a similar service (I think Yelp owns it?) called Eat24. That's my go-to when I get a hankerin for Indian food.

Seems like a pretty cool service. Maybe Druff can use it if he ever runs out of Pepsi and Orange juice at the Rio(With Coupons Obv).

Fanta is great, but I only had 1 left.

I interchangeably buy Coke and Pepsi.

You'll also notice a lot of water in there. I usually only have 1-2 sods per day now.

I don't look old for my age, Elliott.

I used to look young for my age and just caught up, which happens when you get over 40.

I almost never have anyone guessing me for older than my age in person.

What's wrong with the contents of that Rio refrigerator? This is for 12 days, and water is the drink in greatest quantity.
