When I saw Ann Meara, who played the 50ish alcoholic Irish redhead on "Archie Bunker's Place", I had no idea for a long time that she was Ben Stiller's mother.
She actually did a really good job in that role. I know she was in other things, and was at one point in a comedy team with Ben's dad Jerry.
She died on Saturday at the age of 85.
