Chad Holloway, best known for his long tenure at Pokernews, is a big comic book fan, and also likes zombie stories. He decided to combine zombies and poker, and created a comic book about zombies attacking players at the 2015 World Series of Poker.

He's also selling hard copies for $5 at the WSOP, at the Blue Shark Optics stand.

Chad is a nice guy, and I'll probably buy one of these at the WSOP to support him, even though I'm not really into comic books or zombies.

I had a conversation with Dave late last year, and he was actually very excited to appear in the comic. Obviously the timing is unfortunate, but I very much wanted to have him as a part of the project, not only because he was among my favorite poker players, but also because of his enthusiasm.

You would have made better sales with this crowd if you claimed that you only included Devilfish because he was actually dead, and that would make some great LOLs for the reader.

I actually think Devilfish would agree. He always had that twisted sense of humor. As for a sequel, would like to do one, put it's dependent upon how this first one does and whether or not the WSOP gives me their support.

i'm a huge walking dead fan and so is my older brother so i got a copy for him as well


my ***official wsoz review***:

the ads: the comic costs $5 and i believe is 32 pages (including front and back cover) and there are 12 FULL PAGE ads

the walking dead comics by comparison are $2.99 new and contain no ads and a lot more content

i understand it's going to cost a start-up comic more to print on a much smaller scale but i thought that's what the ads are meant to offset? instead chad is charging $2 more per average comic while more than a third of the comic is advertisements

the actual plot is nonexistent. it's like he came up with a half-ass'd idea in ten mintues on the back of a napkin, and never even bothered to write a second draft. hahaha "the rake" hahaha phil hellmuth can "dodge bullets". after all the ads you're left with maybe a couple hundred words or so of a story that has no redeeming value

i really wanted to support this because, like i said, i'm a huge walking dead mark, and obviously a poker fan, but besides the artwork the comic really is terrible. chad's known as a nice guy throughout poker so i imagine that's why you don't see anyone really giving an honest review

he calls this a passion project, but it comes off more as a money grab

Big time comic fan late 70,s and 80,s stop buying them when they started mixing story lines on different titles..

Instead of following the story arc in one title, they had u jumping around tittles just go finish the story..

I was 14 and knew it was a money grab and stop buying them..
