On a side note, I actually used to be way ahead of the curve as far as computers and electronic gadgets. I was teaching myself "basic" when my contemporaries were still doing "Lincoln logs and erecter sets". I had them too..
Some peach fuzz, a corvette, a rope chain a bottle of dracar cologne with capezio shoes and cavarichi outfit CHANGED EVERYTHING, lol :-) :-) :-)
And you guys think this economy is normal!! Then your funnier then me in white shoes and a pastel pants..
THE MEGA MAN GAMES...
SNES. Sim Ant was God
:freelewfather
The huge brick GAMEBOY brings back some fond memories
I wanted Super Nintendo badly as a kid, but my big brother steered us towards Sega Genesis because John Madden Football. I knew in my heart that SNES was better and Super Mario World > Sonic the Hedgehog. We did end up getting the Genesis, and I repped it in playground arguments even though I knew SNES was better.
Here is a video of the John Madden theme on Genesis, it's fucking awesome
I can't believe I forget about Sega genesis.. I actually bought it with the first "final fantasy". Never bought a Second game for it. I think that was the last video game system I bought.
I received an email about alienware coming out with a window,s gaming system. Looks interesting. I just don't have the time.
SEGA GENESIS WAS BAD ASS! IT HAD BLOOD IN THE FIRST MORTAL KOMBAT WHERE THE SNES VERSION DIDNT! VECTOR MAN, MERCS, TOMMY LASORDA BASEBALL, NBA JAM....OBV SNES WAS BETTER BUT SEGA WAS NO JOKE! REMEMBER THE SEGA!! MARKETING CAMPAIGN????
Too be honest I don't remember the campaign and even though it was my last game system I did choose it over Nintendo.
I really believe the system and games were superior and if not according to the spec,s it was at least different then the masses of dorks following each other to buy Nintendo.
It was more "badd ass" all around..
Only game I liked on genisis was revenge of shinobi.
They really went after Nintendo and there commercials were pretty funny Sonic The Hedgehog - Commercial Collection Vol.1:
I also had the Genesis and was a little envious of friends with the SNES. Besides Sonic 1 and 2, I can't think of any great games that were exclusive to Sega. SNES had them all as well as exclusives of their own like Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Contra and Mario titles, and countless others.
Fortunately Madden was on both systems. The Oilers left town just as I was getting interested in football, but the games kept me into it until we got a franchise again.
I also had a N64, but that system has aged very poorly. The games are horrendous to look at now, and the joysticks wear out so fast. Those controllers fuck up your hands too.
I still have a PS3 but I rarely play it. I think I'm over console gaming.
I lost all interest in gaming consoles once I figured out you could make money playing a game called "POKER"
Once again we agree...
Every time I feel "left out" from gaming , I realize I enjoy playing poker with my free time. Way more fun in a lot of way,s.
Is it just me or are all the games either first person shooter or an r.p.g with so! Much! Micro management. Different themes but the same games over and over again.
Il enjoy a good tower defense game on steam or on my Android. Like prime defenders or myth defense or age of conquest(better then risk).
Some of the best games on the Sega Genesis were the Streets of Rage series, Splatterhouse series, and NHL '94.
Sega Genesis was my fave and first. I was never allowed a Nintendo when I was real little.
My faves were
NBA Jam
Road Rash
Final Fight
Altered Beast
Madden 93
Then I got Playstation And I remember liking
Tiger Woods 99
crash bandicoot
Also I remember liking some rollerblading racing game but can't remember what system.
I can't believe none of you Nintendo guys mentioned r.c. pro am or the original tecmo bowl. I would invite myself to kids houses for that shit.
None of you will probably know about hand held electronic games from the mid 70,s...
You had Mattel electronics that had hockey, basket ball and football you also had coleco quarterback.
These were a very big deal in the 70,s.. a very big deal and they were so much fun going back and forth with your friends playing them..
