I think you’ve got it wrong about mask-wearing countries. Almost none of them are forcing people to wear masks outside, its just outside. Wearing it outside seems nuts to me (unless its some mass rally).

Or were you just plain ignorant about Norway’s policies on the matter? Because Norway changed its policy about mask-wearing back in August after the government learned about the potential positive effect on reducing the spread of COVID.

First off, Mumbles, regardless of whether Atlas was right or wrong, it's astounding that you think Twitter should be censoring prominent advisers to the President. Have you changed your mind to where you feel it's okay to censor the other side, as long certain people say it's "dangerous" for the public to read? That's always been the justification for censorship by fascist regimes.

Regarding Norway, I was 100% correct.

Contact tracing does not work in a pandemic situation unless attacked at the very, very beginning. While Norway never had a terrible outbreak, they were too far gone for contract tracing to work. This is especially true because COVID is most contagious prior to symptoms showing, so even an aggressive contact tracing program will fail.

Here's the bottom line: Until August, Norway did not recommend mask wearing, and only 4% of residents reporting always wearing masks (while 85% reported NEVER wearing them!) Despite this, they never had a serious coronavirus outbreak.

Now they are recommending mask wearing, but only under certain circumstances, and they are still not seeing much mask wearing in public. We still aren't seeing any significant outbreaks there (nor was there any substantial change after they said people should start wearing masks).

Face it, Mumbles. As I said on radio yesterday, wearing masks is responsible and sensible, but it is not going to significantly stop the spread of COVID-19. At best, it slows down the spread a little. We cannot mask our way out of this, nor can we contact trace our way out of this. These are lies being told by the left with zero data to back it up.
