Three LA area poker players arrested for idiotic casino cheating scheme involving dog-earing cards

Pogos Simityan, Vahan Sudzhyan and Gevorg Avagyan, all originally from Armenia, hatched a dumb scheme to bend cards at Let It Ride and Mississippi Stud table games. Initially it netted them well over $100k, but soon enough casino security caught on, and now they're all in trouble.

This occurred about a year ago, in July 2021.

They hit Paris for the most money, but also got Planet Hollywood and Wynn. It was at Paris where they both won the most money and were eventually caught.

All three of these guys were detained at the time, and Pogos Simityan claimed he had chest pains during the detention, and was taken to the hospital. Was likely an anxiety attack.

Vahan Sudzhyan and Gevorg Avagyan previously took a plea deal. Simityan was just arrested this week. It is not clear why he was not arrested last year, and the whole thing wasn't made public until this week.

Two of the three have some fairly extensive poker results.
