New feature: [scribd] tag

Scribd.com is a service that hosts documents. It has already been used several times to host important/interesting documents related to poker.

You can now embed scribd.com documents directly to posts here.

The scribd tag works as follows:


[scribd]documentnumber[/scribd]


So for example, for this scribd document:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/1845628/Poker-Without-Cards

... you would take the document number (1845628) and use this tag:


[scribd]1845628[/scribd]


... and you will see this result:

Since you already have a program looking at every post as it is submitted why not add the logic to have it create this tag automatically based on the url. Same for youtube. Why are you asking a bunch of stupid humans to remember something that a program could do for them?

My sense was that the last response might have been a thinly disguised shot at druff, and leaving that aside, this really does seem like quite a good and innovative idea - since the mechanism for auto-edit of posts seems to already be in place.

Not a shot at Druff. I know a good spot for computer automation when I see it. The user has already provided all of the information necessary just by posting the url the way they would post any other url. No need to train the monkeys.
