Also, if you can find "Tetris: Ecstasy of Order", that's worth a look. It's obv about Tetris Gods. I thought it would be lame, but I watched some of the Tetris World Championships, and it's pretty intense. The World champion Jonas Neubauer is pretty much untouchable. An amateur came pretty close in 2016 to take his crown. Here is the clip.

Turns out Billy Mitchell cheated with his Donkey Kong high score.

Someone proved that he did it with MAME, which of course opens up all kinds of possibilities that he did it with a tweaked version of Donkey Kong, thus invalidating his scores.

Laughably, this wasn't questioned enough at the time, when Mitchell provided a direct video feed of the game -- something incredibly difficult to do with a game manufactured in 1981.

I think a lot of people suspected it, but people were too busy brown-nosing him. If you watch King Of Kong, they hang around him like a cult - all gathering around a fucking cabin in the woods to watch a video submission whilst he is talking to them all on the phone - LOL.

In fact, in that submission that was shown in the arcade, you can even see a skip on one of the frames. Not only did he use MAME, but I bet he had his submissions professionally edited as well.
