Doesn't mean he's not still an uppity, attention seeking, corporate schill who would sign the back of a check, no questions asked (like UB, at least we think. I call it "Ivey's Dilemma"). But maybe the UB episode changed him.
I just don't think he really knew, at the time, or even now, how his personal image (and brand, this man views himself as THE brand name in poker), is perceived by people who were robbed so much by the UB brand he represented, he gave trust onto others (and even had part stake in) for 5+ years.
