Jose Canseco shoots himself in the hand

Former major league slugger Jose Canseco is recovering after shooting himself in the hand at his Las Vegas home.

Jose Canseco told police he was cleaning his gun in the kitchen when it fired, shooting a finger on his left hand.
Metro police Lt. Mark Reddon says officers responded to a call of an accidental shooting Tuesday afternoon.

I've cleaned a gun several times. I don't see how anyone could shoot themselves while doing it. Do you think that Jose is really dumb enough to try to clean a loaded gun? Or do you think he was doing something else incredibly stupid and that's a cover story?

Yeah, I already posted this in the "Dumb/Random" thread because I didn't think it deserved it own thread but.....okay.

who cleans a pistol when loaded? no one...one always remove the magazine and then racks it to remove the round in the chamber...then looks to make sure the pistol is unloaded

and who cleans a pistol in the kitchen? the smell of gun cleaner is foul (especially Hoppes 9) and who would want that smell where food is prepared and eaten...one cleans guns in the garage usually

more likely a pistol was put up to his chest by his latest bitch, he grabbed the barrel to push it away with one finger covering the business end, then his bitch pulled the trigger

That scenario seems very plausible but the chick he is with now he has been with for a long time, no reports of there ever being trouble at all. Not some random whore. Who knows.

Sorry to have offended anybody. I did notice though that the guy my first post was directed at, took it as the non-serious comment that it was & made a good one-liner out of it that made me, & probably a few others, laugh.
