Phone technical help appreciated. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - WIFI wont turn on period

Yes, I know what you are going to say: "google it, this isn't that hard"

Well, frankly im at a loss. Nobody so far can seem to figure out the problem. I can't believe it.

Basically, the WIFI refuses to turn on at all. Supposedly this is not an isolated problem because there are several threads out there about it. Nobody can seem to figure out what to do about it though. I have tried everything I could think of, including RESETTING the phone; nothing works.

Supposedly there is a software update...although I don't know if this software update even fixes the problem. Either way, i can't download it without WIFI....and even if I could, I wouldn't because it would eat up the data plan.

After doing a little searching, it looks like this problem is spread over a few different phone models

Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas?

I just wish I could be cool like Marty. Marty claims i am boring, and maybe I am, so I want to be cool like him and dance around in a 10th rate resort like the Playa Mona Lisa all by myself and even video it and put it on the internet so other people know how cool i am. Now that would be the shit. Straight up on my bucket list.

Anyway, I just went ahead and upgraded the phone since unbelievably the cellular people couldn't even offer a solution. I seriously tried everywhere- never saw anything like this. I was going to give Marty a chance to help with the problem and maybe pay him for his expertise, but I know how busy he is with all of his friends and posting on the internet and such...
