Bank of America shuts down Daniel Negreanu's account

I believe Daniel that he doesn't understand why it happened. Bank of America has been known to be gambler-hostile since at least 2005. For a long time, they were auto-killing accounts receiving deposits from gambling sites.

I know a number of people who got shut down by them.

FYI, when they shut you down, you still get your money. However, they will often ban you from the bank going forward. It seems that Negreanu only lost his business account. I wonder if he has a personal account there.

It's actually important to have accounts at all major banks if you travel around the US. Makes it FAR easier to get cash out if needed.

B of A also has a nice feature where you can still send bank transfers to people at other banks, whereas most other banks now demand you use something like Zelle, which not everyone has.

I don't buy that the bank randomly selected him for anything. Most likely it is because he promotes an offshore gambling website ggpoker.com.

Maybe it's a signal that it's time for Daniel Negreanu to retire. Poker had a good run, it's now fucking over.
