Great start for him.
Unfortunately Yelich is being overshadowed by someone else -- a third-year player who had a disappointing 2018.
Cody Bellinger is batting .455 with 7 HR in the Dodgers' first 10 games so far. He also has 18 RBI, to currently (easily) give him the early triple crown.
This is actually one of the best 10-game starts to a season that a player has ever had.
Is he for real? Or will baseball figure out another hole in his swing, like the 2017 Astros did, and most of baseball followed in 2018?
I guess we will see. But this is very encouraging.
Dodgers are destroying the ball in general. In the first 10 games:
- They've scored 12 or more three times (!!)
- They've scored 10 or more four times
- They've scored 7 or more six times
- They've scored 4 or more nine times
This has made up for the crappy bullpen, and the team is off to an 8-2 start.
