Figured this deserves its own thread. Anyone wanna try and defend this?

Yeah, I’ll defend it. I like and support the fact that he did it. It’s funny and vindictive, what are you going to do about it dork?
So, fair game now? You don’t care if Biden does the same thing?
Haven't the Dems already done it?
Here's a report from CNN in December 2019 regarding the Dems (Swalwell and Schiff) subpoenaing the telephone records of Devin Nunes

Or is the difference being that Congress members can do what they want but the DOJ cannot?
If you get caught up in a criminal investigation, like, oh I don’t know maybe withholding funds already allocated to the Ukraine in order to blackmail them into cooking up fake intel reports on your political rivals … yeah, sure, go ahead, subpoena the records. That’s not what happened with Schiff and Swalwell.
cope
meanwhile OSA is out here ballin your sons
Just announced:
House Judiciary Committee will do a formal investigation into DOJ re: this matter.
ETA: Anyone know if they subpoena Trump does he have any way out of it?
No way does that happen. Despite the eloquent defenses voiced by Trump supporters here, this is unprecedented. There is no “What about Hillary’s emails?” for this one. The only apt comparison would be Watergate, and this is probably far worse. At some point, likely soon, Trump supporters just need to come out and say they think there should be different rules for Democrats that don’t apply to Republicans. They need to either jump off this sinking ship or just fully embrace hypocrisy and abandon any last shred of decency and decorum. Just say it. Just say that you think Republicans are above the law and get to write their own rules and Democrats better just shut up and take it because that’s how it is. Then, if there’s enough of them willing to get behind that, we just full on have a new civil war. I don’t think they realize that is where this is heading. You will not be able to end democracy in America without first winning a war.
