17-year-old girl comes into Rio & says she was kidnapped for prostitution

Apparently two dudes kidnapped a 17-year-old girl and tried to force her into Vegas-area prostitution.

She escaped, ran into the Rio (presumably the closest casino), and told security that she had been kidnapped.

I have actually heard that some of the young prostitutes working in Vegas -- especially the Asian ones -- were brought to the city against their will and forced to work in the sex industry.

The Asian ones are typically tricked into believing they will be legally emigrating into the US, and then are forced into prostitution, with the threat of either deportation, violence, family member consequences back home, or all three.

It does not mention the race of this girl, but I imagine that this is a different situation, and is likely a situation of dudes kidnapping a girl (one who was likely a runaway) and trying to force her into Vegas prostitution.

I wonder what percentage of Vegas hookers are being forced to do it in some way, and are too afraid to say anything.

Im a believer in bright-line rules, so a 17 year old girl is beyond the pale.

But make this girl 18 and I say define "forced". In most of these situations there is a text of e-mail trail that makes these guys look like scumbags, but vindicates them of all criminal charges. Adults do stupid things sometimes. God bless America.
