The "X attack tactic isn't working for Trump" argument is silly until the general election season starts. Right now Trump isn't trying to land many blows, because he doesn't know who his opponent is going to be yet.
The Pocahontas thing will come back alive if she is the nominee. But that isn't going to sink her by itself. She's going to turn off swing voters with her "give everything free" rhetoric. These type of voters tend to hate the free stuff giveaways because they see themselves as honest, hard workers, and they get pissed when those they perceive as lazy are getting supported on their backs. You can come off as populist as you want on other issues (such as banks), but if your proposals are to hand out a ton of free shit, you're going to lose the blue collar swing voters.
What the Dems really need against Trump is a moderate Democrat who isn't a senile idiot, but it looks like they're not getting that this time.
Druff I disagree with you on this one.
While I don't agree with most of Warren's policy proposals, she seems to me to be a very good opposite to everything Trump - she's super smart, comes across as down to earth and personable (the beer Instagram was not that bad), and passionate with her beliefs.
The question remains as to whether there is a sufficient coalition of anti-trump voters (most all Dems, some independents, and anti-Trump repubs) that can get her elected.
As for Warren's policies, as we all know, even with control of the White House and both Chambers of Congress, it is very difficult for either party to get too much major policy legislation through.
So most likely many of her "dramatic change" ideas wont ever get through anyway.
Also, she's not Hillary Clinton.
