Bug fix: YouTube on Apple devices

It came to my attention that certain YouTube videos embedded in posts here were NOT playable on Apple devices, and would just show up as blank space.

I looked into it, and I figured out that it had to do with a mod I installed, which auto-converts YouTube URLs into embedded videos, without having to use the [video] tag.

Unfortunately, that mod was breaking things, I think due to some changes YouTube made in its own embedding code.

Anyway, I fixed it tonight.

Now you can post YouTube with or without a [video] tag. Just post the URL, and it should work on all devices.

The first example is below -- simply posting the URL:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNGZo5gn_tc

... should show the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNGZo5gn_tc

This one was posted the old way, using [video] tags.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNGZo5gn_tc

This one was posted simply by using the abbreviated youtu.be URL of the video:

https://youtu.be/jNGZo5gn_tc

... should play the video below on all devices:

https://youtu.be/jNGZo5gn_tc

This video below is again using the old school [video] tag, but with a youtub.be abbreviated address:

https://youtu.be/jNGZo5gn_tc

You should be able to see and play the video in all 4 of the above posts, using your Apple device.

If it does not work, please post in this thread and tell me what device and iOS you're using.
