Tennessee Lottery voids numerous Superbowl bets, closes 74 accounts, citing that they were "illegal"

Interesting story.

The Tennessee Lottery, which oversees the legalized sportsbooks in the state, cited "anomalies" with the bets, but wouldn't explain further. I'm guessing that it's not as shady as it sounds. It's very possibly a situation of people betting outside the jurisdiction, or a proxy betting situation where in-state services were betting for people out-of-state.

This does NOT have to do with out-of-game prop bets, such as the Gatorade color or the presence of a streaker. The Lottery decided it would not allow such bets to take place.
