Trick to get a cheap room at Commerce Casino hotel

Someone told me of a trick they used to stay at Commerce Casino's hotel cheaply.

It's totally legal.

Here you go:

1) Go on Priceline

2) Pick the city of Commerce, CA and the dates you want

3) Click on "Express Deals"

4) It will list several hotels as "Commerce Casino - Cudahy - Pico Rivera"

5) Look under "Hotel Amenities", and pick the only one which says "Casino".

This will book you at the Commerce Casino for a cut-rate price.

The trick here is that you aren't supposed to know which hotel it is, but you do because it's the only hotel in Commerce which has a casino!

As a test, I just looked and the hotel would be $156 on December 20th (after tax), and just $116 after tax using this Priceline trick.

Small note to this.

First off, it's non-refundable, so only do this trick if you are 100% sure (or very close to that) you're going.

Second, Priceline charges "fees" which they hide in the taxes section.

For example, Commerce charges 12% tax (used to be 0% last decade... sad that's gone), but if you book through Priceline, you will pay an addition 10% or so, on top of that 12%.

So you really need to price it out AFTER taxes and fees, and compare it to the best rate you can get on the hotel website. Don't trust the "regular" price quoted by Priceline, as often that's BS.
