I saw your avatar and thought is that Kate Pierson of the B52's? I was totally confused when a google image search led me to an REM video, but all became clear after I played it. She's 70 now. I had no idea that she was a lesbian. I think that the B-52's and The Tubes were about the only two groups that I liked from this genre of decadent rock, for lack of a better term.https://www.desertsun.com/story/life...iend/31177985/

Young and Rich has a great sound to it.
Just three of the Joy Division covers that I like. It's a shame that Ian Curtis hung himself. They could have turned out many more great songs.

....saw The Tubes last night...can’t believe the stamina of the entire band. The drummer is, undoubtedly, one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever seen/heard. It’s hard to believe these guys are still performing like this....after 45+ years.
My first exposure to The Tubes a million years ago.

Best drummer ever, so subjective and not just because they die quickly but technically, no one surpasses Neil Peart

If you take a look at this guy you get another take completely.
Buddy Rich was the name among drummers forever and I think he died directly or indirectly because of if

The Commitments are not a "real band" but a band created for a movie and made up of actors and musicians. The movie is well worth seeing for the music and comedy.

This is from a concert by a number of band members in 2011, 20 years after the movie.

One of the best features of John Lennon IMO was his devotion to Ringo Starr
He was loyal to the end
