I think the original plan was to get a big group of suckers to all pay their own way, take a video of the huge table, and brag about how he "took all my students out to Mayfair". It looks like nobody went for this, so the birthday dinner either didn't happen, or it was just him and Stacy.
Clearly the angle of the birthday bash was a dual one -- to raise quick cash, and to make it look like he has a huge stable of dedicated customers who are treated like VIPs. It flopped in all ways. That idiotic video had very little marketing value.
