Another casino (this time Delaware Park) cancels Main Event with almost zero notice, again screwing satellite winners
Remember the Ho Chunk Casino mess, where an MSPT Main Event was canceled 24 hours before it was supposed to start, and then they screwed satellite winners and those with reservations at their hotel?
Well, move over Ho Chunk, because Delaware Park is getting into the cancellation game, too!
Apparently Delaware Park canceled their Mid Atlantic States Poker Championship Main Event, this time with LESS than 24 hours notice. Why?
"Another regional casino is having a tournament."
Huh? Why can't two casinos have a tournament at the same time?
Turned out that Parx (located in Maryland) was having its $500 Big Stax tournament, but this was only to be Day 1B of a 3-day starting flight event, so I can't imagine how that should matter too much. And shouldn't they have known this beforehand?
Even worse, Delaware Park will not provide a new date for the tournament, leaving satellite winners twisting in the wind.
