Socialist Government quashing free trade.

Our provincial government is currently the New Democratic Party
They are the most left of the major political parties

Anywho in Nanaimo we have had a plethora of Cannibis dispencearies close
their doors recently with the city saying it's a zoning thing. Meetings are planned.

Then I see this.



I don't watch local news at all so just today I discover that our provincial government
has basically taken over the legal marijuana business both as wholesaler and
retailer(in the government liquor stores)

They're touting all the benefits, edging out the illegal traders etc.
Private dispensaries will still be allowed to do business, they just
have to buy from the government.

like most everything the government has to wet there beak if there is money involved.

saw this coming from a long way off, initially the government indicated that pot would be treated like booze which is heavily taxed and most every drop gets run through government facilities. with the exception of local wine and local micro brew beer, cider but still is heavily taxed.

you must know or a friend who knows a grower in your area. I here that the underground pot sales are up quite a bit because of the closure of all illegal pot shops and there are not a lot of government approved stores, prices are high.

Is this why OSA's weed stocks have been in the toilet?

they're not even allowing private shops here in NS, tho a few still remain on the low. I go to one. market is all over the place here outside of the govt channels. delivery services seem to be ruling the roost for "black market" sales and pricing. I just hate waiting an hour or more so I go pay "full price" at the shop.

It's an intersting topic because marijuana was legalized across Canada and there were
dispencers everwhere and now they've had to close with no real explanation from
anyone.

No one is taking credit for this move. Not the city, not the cops, members of Parliment etc.
But the hugh elephant in the room is the Provincial Government is now has planning on controlling
the marijuana trade from wholesale to retail . They've just opened a third Provincial Cannabis store which takes all the fun out of it . I don't want to buy my weed at a government liquor branch.

They say the independent shops will still be around but they'll have to run through some more hoops you can bet.

It's all about money, they're into gambling big time, online poker, liquor of course and now they're found another scource of income. I really hate this and I think I'm going to run for office. I think I'll start at the top and then just get out. Btw your idiot government should take marujuana off the schedule 1 drug list and make a few bucks themself
