Just discovered Bart Hansons podcast. Its excellent! And I learned that he's returned to his New England roots and is playing at Chasers in Salem, NH which is where I spent the majority of the past week and will be again today.
I was surprised to learn he's also playing at Encore Boston Harbor which I think Sanlmar says is a boondoggle to which I agree. F that place Bart! They don't deserve your business. The poker room there was well on its way to becoming Foxwood rival pre-pandemic and then they blew it up and ruined it. The action at Chasers is great and if you want some variety just go to Boston Billiards in Nashua.
After about an 8 month lull in my poker activity I'm back to playing almost daily there at Chasers and have been doing ok. Winning enough to keep going back anyway. In December '21 I moved back to my family home in Worcester after having been away since '15. Its been the happiest time of my life and a true miracle that my wife and I found our way back to each other. Both my daughters have been home from college all summer so I've felt entirely blessed. I'm no longer in the country or the 978.
Although I am somewhat retired I did need to stay active and since I wasn't playing poker I drove for Lyft/Uber for a few months because I am not able to commit to anything full time or even regularly. I had considered starting a new thread for some of the experiences I had as well as to publish some dashcam stuff but wasn't sure anyone would be interested enough.
