WSOP Main Event Player is disqualified after it's found he is banned from all Caesars Properties

It was announced in the reports via WSOP.Com.

The guys name is Joe Stiers (Twitter: https://twitter.com/Joe_Stiers )

According to him, he was banned from all Caesars properties after being caught card counting in Baltimore 3 years ago. It appears he was using the name Joe Conor to play...Conor really being his middle name.

He later admits in tweets that he wasn't kicked out at the BJ table, but while he was in a poker tournament, they told him he was trespassing and kicked him out then, when he caused a disturbance that is when security told him he was banned from all properties.

He also admits he played a WPT @ another property he was banned from...Maryland Live...and they found out who he was but said they didn't care, just not to come back ----- I doubt the validity of this story

Seriously, how big of a degenerate do you have to be to go in and play the essentially the biggest tournament in the world, on a property that you know very well you're banned from. And then bitch about them free rolling you for the buy-in. LOL

I'm very sympathetic to advantage players but this guy always got on my nerves.

His entire history with Caesars involved getting banned, sneaking back in, and then complaining when he faces consequences for it.

This was not his first incident of crying foul after dodging a ban and getting caught.

Being banned as an advantage player is part of life. I don't fault him so much for trying to get around it, but then to act indignant as if he's being cheated in some way if caught is insane.

Also, lol at claiming poker isn't fulfilling because he's mostly playing fish.

Ummmm... there's tons of cash games and tournaments filled with players much better than him, if that's what he is looking for.

Only impressive thing is that he managed to squeeze a settlement out of them acting as his own attorney, despite the fact that he's still in law school. Usually that fails.

I bet all he got was his $10k back.

Not that I know one way or the other, but I hope he didn't get even that. He also outed another player who got into some WSOP events and who somehow evaded a similar ban, a Georgia guy named Connor Schaeffer. (It's in the latest filings.)
