Talking Stick Casino in Arizona screws man out of $50k jackpot offers shitty $4k settlement

Picture of the slot machine clearly shows the jackpot match on the reels.. The Indians claim a lightbulb was out on the machine and that he should've been paid $4k as he was.. Problem is that doesn't match anything on the payout matrix on that slot machine at any level.. Of course dude got fucked and had to take the $4k because as per usual the Indians are allowed to fuck the pale face at their casinos and nothing can be done about it unfortunately..

This is why I won't touch the stupid Indian casinos at all. I have gotten a few comps from those various casinos and will use the free rooms and that is it. I won't play poker, black jack, nothing.

As I said on radio, it's hard to tell if the tribe was telling the truth, and if perhaps a broken light bulb really did cause an orange 7 to be red.

It is a fact that all slot machines have a "Malfunction Voids All Plays and Pays" rule everywhere, which in plain English means, "If the machine fucks up and gives you a win you weren't supposed to get, then your prize is void."

However, it would have been easy to determine if a bulb was really out, as it would mean the machine would have paid him for an orange 7 (which still should have won something) instead of a red 7.

If the machine really tried to pay him $50k, then clearly it wasn't from the bulb, as the machine is not basing the jackpot upon what it "sees", but rather upon what was actually supposed to display.

But it was the bulb being out, the casino was actually in the right here. However, a reputable place probably would have paid it anyway, since it's "only" 50k. Indian casinos will never pay something like this for good will. They're super frugal and shady.

I just watched the video again and paused it at the relevant part (his cell phone pic).

The machine itself said, "Jackpot $4,000".

So it probably really was a broken lightbulb.

The customer claims that $4,000 is impossible because there's no $4,000 payout listed on the paytable on the machine, but that doesn't mean much. That doesn't always list all of the possible combinations you can get paid.

My conclusion is that the casino was probably right, but still kinda shitty of them to not do something for him after the machine made it appear he won $50,000.
