To qualify for the freeroll, you need to have registered on PokerFraudAlert by June 1, 2013.

If you are a lurker and still want to play, you must PM me or e-mail me beforehand and explain how long you've been listening/lurking, and tell me some of your favorite anecdotes from the forum (either here or DD) or the radio show. If you fail to do this before the tournament, or if you send me some generic bullshit like, "I think the show is funny. I like the show", you will NOT qualify for the freeroll, and your prize will be given to the next qualifying finisher. If you were an old-school regular user from NWP/DD who I remember, you will automatically qualify even if you weren't registered by 6/1/2013.

You will also automatically qualify if I remember you from NWP/DD, provided you are not banned from this site.

I am doing this in order to prevent freeroll-hunting leeches from using our site for our freeroll money and then disappearing.

SallyWoo used to sit out on me playing heads up limit holdem around 2007 or 2008.

Checked out chat for the first time tonight. Pretty cool. Unfortunately, the kindle let's you read but not leave messages, i.e. actually chat. Can that be fixed? If so, how? Also, on a side note, does garrett always chat like a drunk sorority girl?

BNP made quite a rebound from $1100 early & mid tourney. You would be tempted to say "run good" but this is a pretty standard performance & finish for the kid.

I lose a little bit of my soul every time I pay a compliment to another poker player but props are due.

You stated the percentage of racist posts in the forum last night. What was the criteria and who is the biggest offender.

Not sure if this came up on 2+2; I did not look at any threads there.

Your explanation about gift and estate tax was pretty good. However, if a person gives more than $14,000 to a non-spouse in a calendar year, they don't automatically have to pay any gift tax. They do have to file a form with the IRS, and the amount over $14,000 starts to use up their lifetime exclusion, so that when they die, they can transfer less to a non-spouse before they have to owe any tax.

So, if someone gives a $400,000 house to their parents, $14,000 x 2 is excluded, and they file a form saying $372,000 was given to their parents, and no tax is due.

The lifetime exclusion is now $5,340,000 which is the amount you can give to a non-spouse at death, unless you used part of it in your lifetime. The estate tax rate is 40%. It hasn't been 55% since 2001. (There may also be estate and gift taxes based on the state where the giver lives. Some exclusions are lower than $5 million, but the tax rates are a lot lower as well.)

Somehow I never knew this. Yes, I think someone also mentioned it on 2+2, but I ditched that thread awhile ago when I felt I was becoming a distraction there, with the various dupes/trolls and whatnot.
