BOSTON -- A second brilliant start by Clay Buchholz. A clutch homer by Daniel Nava. Another flawless fielding performance by the Boston Red Sox.
The fans at Fenway Park saw for the first time what all the excitement is about when they watched the surprising Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 in Boston's home opener on Monday.
"This team is growing in confidence by the day," first-year Red Sox manager John Farrell said.
Buchholz (2-0) allowed three hits in seven shutout innings and struck out 8, Nava hit a three-run homer in the seventh off Wei-Yin Chen (0-1) and the first-place Red Sox improved to 5-2 for their best start in seven years.

At the start of this season people picked Yanks/Boston to finish 4th and 5th, we'll see how well they are doing later this season. Not trying to hate on the Red Sox here but when I asked you china how they were going to do this year you went ahead and stared into head lights, now you're starting threads 2 weeks into the season rofl.
What's shocking to me is the dodgers fail at the start here, 6 game slide and -21 run differential ?
I know that I'm just wondering why you didn't have anything to say about this when you were asked about it several times before this thread was started
Tigers have blown several opportunities this year while the Red Sox have been hot.
This is a typical start to a season in Detroit anyone who follows the team closely knows that.
I'm also a big Braves fan so I'm glad they are off to a good start.
The team that has surprised me the most is the Colorado Rockies while the biggest bust who many experts felt would finally have a break out year is the Toronto Blue Jays

ANIBAL FUCKING SANCHEZ WAS RIDING DIRTYTONIGHT. NOBODY CAN FUCK WITH HIM HE'S EARNING HIS $16 MILLY A YEAR.
I love how the video in the story doesn't show buchholz going to his arm & hair. Now I gotta go find the video showing the alleged shady dealings.
I also love how the one catcher says he uses a combination of water & rosin to get a grip on the ball. WHAT?
Using water IS loading the ball. There's a reason you can't go to your mouth while on the mound, except in cold weather, but apparently they think it's OK to go to your hair for the moisture? I'll have to see the video but that sounds pretty damning to me. Am I missing something here?
here is a pic.. no video

Cabrera went into God mode going 4 for 4 with 2 homers and 6 RBIs but he wasn't the only one who delivered.

50+ bombs
200+ steaks
I mean, do we just create a new trophy and call it the miggy?
