I lived in Beaverton for a few years before moving to Keizer, where I live now. It's only about 45 minutes away and I drive to Beaverton at least two or three times a week. We recently had an In n Out open in Keizer, causing a complete and total clusterfuck. It'll be even worse in Beaverton. I'm 39, though not sure what that has anything to do with it.Quote:

Beaverton is a weird little town. Its right next to Portland (in fact a lot of the addresses of people and business who reside in Beaverton actually say Portland), but with a lot less crime. The cops in Bearton and Hillsboro are notoriously strict assholes, and there are a lot of upscale neighborhoods around town. It's not at all like Portland, which is a dirty and smelly crime-riddled hellhole, although it is getting slowly better even there.

In-N-Out does NOT franchise any units. They own all of them 100%, and they exercise extremely tight control. You cannot call individual stores. The central office wants to monitor all complaints. (Sadly, in the 2020s, this is less true because of the general worker shortage in lower-end jobs.)

I've eaten at the one in Keizer, OR at least a dozen times since they opened back in December 2020. So far, it has been consistently good. The managers there seem to be on top of things and you can tell the employees are working their butts off to try and make every single customer happy. Although their fries are a hit or miss for me, but that's been true in other In n Out locations in California, so it's probably just a general complaint I have about In n Out. Overall, I like INO for burgers and a good deal. In the "fired burger category, they get an A. I also think Fatburger is one small step above them.

I've only had the in and out in Vegas and I liked it. Good burger. Not very good fries. Workers were working their asses off.

I gotta say, ever since they opened the In n Out here in Keizer, OR back in late 2020, they have had pretty long drive thru lines, even now. People clearly keep coming back over and over and the interest has not died down, even nearly five years later. Where it is located in Keizer Station (which is like an open mini mall, with probably 15 different places to eat), it is absolutely killing it compared to every other eatery. They definitely go through the largest volume of customers, and it is not even close.
Burger fine, fries bad. 5.5/10

On a recent podcast, Snyder revealed she’s leaving California for Franklin, Tennessee, as the beloved burger chain expands into the Southeast. Why the move? “Raising a family is not easy here,” she said of California, citing crime, business challenges, and pandemic-era mandates as major frustrations.
In-N-Out broke ground last fall on a 100,000-square-foot office in Franklin, and the first Tennessee locations are expected by 2026. While California will still house most of the chain’s restaurants, corporate jobs are being relocated to either Baldwin Park or the new Tennessee office as the company phases out its Irvine HQ by 2030.
Snyder, who has led the company since 2010, also confirmed she’s declined offers to open stores in Florida and other East Coast states — for now. But with a Texas warehouse able to reach Tennessee and beyond, expansion is still on the table.
Oh, and about that Oakland store? Closed for good. Snyder says it was in an “absolutely dangerous” area — with gunfire and a stabbing reported at the location.
