What's the verdict on iOS 6? I overheard it screwed a few things up.
I tend to wait until the x.01 release after they have iron out the real life bugs

There was an issue in which people who upgraded to IOS6 could not connect to the internet with wifi. But that has been resolved.Quote:

So I guess they upgraded Siri. Also the camera has a new panorama feature. They claim to have updated Maps so you get a turn by turn navigation feature - haven't tried it yet but I've been wanting that.
Just the Siri update alone is major for me - she will now Tweet for you, which is crazy awesome. She'll also Facebook for you.
Another great upgrade is that FaceTime now works over cellular networks as well as Wi-Fi, so you can make and receive FaceTime calls wherever you are. They really needed to change that - it sucked not being able to FaceTime when you were on the go.
Lots of other stuff including email upgrade, changes in the things your phone can do (you can respond to messages with a voice command, and choose to just leave a message if you want instead of actually calling the person).
If you haven't upgraded, do it. Even a few bugs couldn't stop this upgrade from kicking ass.

The things I love about my iPhone are Siri (I can't really live without the Siri feature at this point, because it does stuff for me while I'm driving that make my life a million times easier), the camera (now because they added the panoramic option), the endless plethora of apps to choose from (althoug let's face it, I really only use like 10 out of the millions), the Internet browsing, and the free texting. The season here started out on an absolutely amazing note with good water flow keeping a huge volume of trophy size fish happy and active but we had an enormously dry summer punctuated by 12" of rainfall overnight last week that took the Beaverkill from 180cfs to 5200cfs in 24 hours. The entire watershed was basically impossible to fish for days, which sucked. I used it as an excuse to fuck around on the West Branch, which honestly fishes like the Yellowstone (great if thats what youre into), and the East Branch which is virtually unfishable beyond the morning and evening hatch.
Regardless it was good to be out there. Fishing the same pool where Theodore Gordon introduced dry fly fishing to America is a fairly profound and moving experience but diminished considerably by the poor water conditions.
I fully intend to be back here in spring but if Im not, it will be because Im steelheading in earnest on the Deschutes over around Portland.
