Lenard Adams “Lucky” is a scammer

What’s going on guys. I was the recent victim of a scam committed by Lenard Adams for 7k cash. I’m a young kid in the poker world, and believed all the lies he told me. Met him playing poker and he pulled me aside to talk about something in private. He said he liked the way I played and that he had a private game at aria the next night. The stakes were said to be 1/2/4K 4 handed with me, Lenard, and 2 other whales. He would stake me and we would split the profits. Yes I know, I’m stupid and I should have known this to be to good to be true. That afternoon we went to play in the pits and I had seen him with absolute piles of cash. He ran out at the table but I knew he had more money in his room. He asked me for 7k and I obliged. It happened so quick but soon enough it was gone, he ran off. My number and Instagram were immediately blocked.

Do you mind letting us know where this happened? Guessing a casino in Vegas if he was saying Aria the next night. Our justice system is really screwed up. This guy got off so fucking easy it’s fucking sad and maddening at the same time.

I couldn't believe Hustler Live let him play on the stream at all, I think it was when Ivey was playing. Dude is a rapist and convicted of serious sexual assaults among other crimes. Plus I think he was on Parole when he played the Hustler Stream.

Dude is bad bad news. No way the victim sees a dime of that money back sorry to say.

Today I will be giving you all a first hand experience on one of the biggest pieces of shit I have ever met; Lenard Adams aka Lucky. Some of you may know him from his Hustler Casino playing days. He was on a stream with Garrett, Ivey, and Durr to name a few. His appearance was short lived but I have linked his card player accounts at the bottom for reference.

**Note before I begin** I am accepting 100% responsibility for being scammed. I have nobody to blame but myself for believing his lies. I am simply posting this on here so nobody becomes a victim of this loser ever again

This was May 2024 at the Battlecreek Michigan. I had just busted from day 1A main event and I was in the food court getting something to eat. All of the sudden Lucky comes up to us asking if am a poker player (I still had my headphones on so i'm assuming thats how he knew). I said yes and immediately recognized him. At this point I am happy to meet someone like this and begin asking him questions about high stakes poker world. Aka playing with Garrett, Ivey, etc..... I am loving this and keep asking him questions. After about 20 minutes, he says that he really likes my vibe and personality and that he was going to do something nice for me; he is going to stake me in 5/10 PLO AND he's going to fly me out to Vegas next week to play in these games. I am skeptical at first but he literally says come on lets go. We go to the poker room and he adds me and his name to the 5/10 list. At this point the game wasnt running so he said hey, how about we go back to my suite and hang out while we wait. I am still skeptical and even sent my friend my location just in case but people are recognizing him so I go along with it (very stupid I know). In fact, some asian kid named George comes up to him and gives him a hug while we were walking around the casino. George proceeds to thank Lucky for staking him in a tournament last year and mentions that he final tabled because he have him an extra 2 bullets to buy in. Now I am happy that I met this guy and we go to hang out in his room (which is a suite). Throughout all this he is showing me Instagram DM's and videos of him with famous poker pros. While in his room, he makes a deal for me. He says we can play heads up and he will match my bankroll. I had about $5k I brought for this trip so I tell him I can play $2.5k. He says if I beat him, he will match me the $2.5k + an extra $5k (yes i know so stupid smh). It took a lot of convincing but long story short he's playing extremely aggressive and jamming every pot and eventually he coolers me. He also convinced me to do a side bet for $500 on the suits (red vs black) on the flop and he won that too. So i pay him but i wasn't too upset thinking he would make good on his promise..... boy was i wrong. Our seat opened up eventually at the PLO game and on our way there, he says ill be right back to go somewhere but he left and never came back. At this point I knew I fucked up. I start calling and texting him and he's actually still responding and just said that he has a meeting to go to and that he'll see me tomorrow..... I'm nervous but I text him the next day asking if he can stake me in the $1,100 tournament and well... just read the texts below.

Turns out this guy is a scammer and has done this to many people in the past. No doubt the "George" guy was a part of his scam and he goes to all circuit and MSPT events and scams people like this. I have linked a story but a fellow thread member as well as a arrest report from 2017 in which he swindled women. I cant believe this piece of shit, he was asking me about my family and what I was going to do in Vegas etc..... this really opened my eyes. $3k in the grand scheme of things is nothing but i'm still very mad about it. If any of you want to ruin his life feel free, I have left all contact info at the bottom. I just hope this never happens to anyone ever again

The definition of scam is "a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation". The deception is that he was going pay up if you win red/black, and fly me out to Vegas, AND stake me in 5/10. It's a very simple scam but it's a scam. Do you think for a minute had I won the heads up match or the prop bet he would have paid? He was essentially free rolling me. And there's a possibilty he cheated in heads up now that i think about it. I dealt the hand but it was his deck, im pretty sure i shuffled but there's a chance something shady went on there too

It was 4am in the morning l've been drinking heavily and in an action packed 10/10 5card PLO game at Seminole Hardrock Florida. I step out of the poker room to have a smoke and approached by scumbag Lenard. Let the scam begin!! He starts chatting me up and we start talking poker. He asks me if I play PLO (which I'm assuming he already knew because I believe he seen our very loud table and me being the drunkest and loudest, while staying in the shadows of the poker room) I say yes I play primarily PLO cash. He then begins to tell me they're having a 100/200 private game tomorrow but he isn't able to play due to playing the 25k. He offers to back me in the game I obliged. (This next part is embarrassing to admit) he then invites me to his suite in the new guitar. I'm a little weary but he seems straight up and thought he was reputable since he played on hustlers live with Tom Dwan, Ivey, Garrett etc we head up to the suite and he proposes a HU match for 10k "to prove I got the skill" which he would give me 10-1 100k if I won right then and there I should've kicked him in the nuts and ran. I straight up said you're scamming me man. He's like nah look man shows me which I'm assuming was a 1.6M balance in his Hardrock account.I think to myself fuck it I'm 90% sure he's scamming me but the ev if he isn't will be worth it for the 10k at risk.
Figured building this relationship with a "successful highroller" will be worth in the long run. This all could've been fixed with a simple google search but I had left my phone at the table while leaving for a smoke in the hallway. Anyways I lose the HU match which was played with his deck (probably marked). I pay him the 10k right away because that's how I am.
If I owe I snap pay. He then takes me on a walk around the casino going cage to cage collecting
"player transfer forms" so he can wire me cash for the game tomorrow. He snapped a few pictures with
"fans" along the casino floor who l'm assuming were in on the scam in some fashion. He's just blowing smoke at this point and my drunk ass is falling for it.
I've almost accepted I've been scammed while still walking around with him. Fucking embarrassing but I take full responsibility, I knew the risk I was taking was absurd but I was blackout drunk and I love a good gamble when I'm drunk. Put my life at risk going into his room good thing he doesn't like guys or else my butthole would've been at risk too since he's a rapist.
Anyways stay safe fellow honest poker players casinos are full of scumbags and con artistsNo shot he would've paid me a single dollar if I had won. And no shot was there ever a private 100/200 game running the next day. He sent me a video of which was a resemblance of a private poker game.
Video was about 4 Megapixels and couldn't even make out a single player at the table

If the story is true JFC. You can’t even say the match was rigged now tbh. You agreed to the match and you lost. Prob not fair and square but it’s a wrap. 10K is gone. Got to move on. Sorry.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if you are trolling here with this story. It’s probably more likely Scarlett Johannsen would ask you to go up to her room to fuck her then some random guy you just met would legitimately offer to stake you in a 100/200 game.

The same thing happened to me on December 17, 2024, this piece of trash Lenard Adam Lucky, sat next to me and told me that he was waiting for 100/200, that he had been waiting for some fish for an hour since it was his private table, he showed me some videos of him playing HCL (aka lucky father of 5 kid) he asked me if I was semi pro or pro, he told me if I had 50k or 100k to enter with him, (since I came with my LV backpack and rolex watch) I told him that I only had 10k for these days, he told me that if I wanted he could put the rest 50k or 75k for the game so between the two of us we could team up to pay, that it was easy since they are nerd and fish, and what he earned he was going to keep half. I was surprised since I am a semi high roller, I play more baccarat at Caesar Palace (50k every trip to Vegas) and I played along to see where he was leading me, I said yes (who doesn't like free roll), he asked me if I knew how to play red or black on the flop, he told me he was anxious, he wanted to bet, you put in 5k, I'll put in 25k, I don't care if I lose, I need people who look rich and because he just won 630k in an NBA game with another hustler (Sean Perry), he showed me pictures of him hahahahahaha. he told me come on follow me i have a suite, i follow him like 1 minute and he said i like your watch let flip a coin i put 25k for u rolex (under date) i say no, and he say u dont have ball for these types of bets better go play 1-3 kid and eh keep waking up fash and he disappeared turning to see if i would follow him to his suite lol i think he's in vegas. im 5'8 135 lbs. if i follow him to aria he would rob me 100% keep safe guy, we are gamblers we all tell lies in some way don't trust anyone in the casinos.

I don’t know what the fuck is going on in this thread. It sounds like he’s sweet talking men with money at casinos the same as he did with the women he manipulated. It’s really incredible. The casino environment is not one where people make friends on the spot. It’s a very fake place where everyone is out for themselves. Charitable people aren’t going to go down to the casino to do good deeds.

Just think of the strip club example. The stripper is not interested in you at all. She is interested in your money. She is making believe she finds you interesting. That’s what’s going on in casinos. Could it be possible to cultivate a friendship or relationship with someone. you met at a casino? Yes sure it’s possible. But you will only find that out when you get to know them outside of that environment. In essence it’s like the anti-drug campaign from my youth…..Just Say No!

Poker Fraud Alert is the source of this article. Hopefully these casinos ban him. Similar to Mikki, Lucky uses his appearance on HCL as a way of legitimizing himself to people. Mikki was arrested with an HCL sweatshirt FFS.

As Druff has stated before, it is impossible to vet everyone playing on a stream game. Unfortunately, Druff is pretty much the only one who really covers this sort of thing. Poker media is just too much about promotion and I am glad Poker News did finally cover this…but they are late to the party.

I think it’s probably time that HCL at least puts a disclaimer on the beginning of their show that no one should enter into financial arrangements with someone because they appear on the stream. Sadly, I don’t see that happening as the staking sites are imtertwimed with many players on these streams.

I respect Berkey’s hustle in putting out daily content….but this thing can bore a nerd to tears. Berkey doesn’t have the gift of gab and I think has improved his mic skills probably about as best as he can. But all these other people just kind of sit there out of obligation waiting for Berkey to finish his talking.

I know I’m not the target audience for this but I am just surprised that they haven’t changed the dynamic much. This guy Matt Hunt seems like a decent guy but I mean it’s insufferable hearing him talk about poker like he’s splitting the atom. It’s a tough listen for me.

Probably the worst thing is the personal stories or anecdotes need to be somewhat interesting. I will preface this by saying I think people in poker are scared of this guy Lucky because he is not just a scammer but seems to have a more devious criminal background.

So if Berkey and Landon have actually dealt with the guy personally/financially….why are we not getting any real details? Furthermore, why is the Poker News article so thin on details as well? It’s like both Poker News & Only Friends wanted to say they covered this topic without really getting into much of anything.

I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that they are scared of this guy Lucky and that’s why punches are being pulled.

I will say I’m glad Berkey did at least realize that Lucky probably paid his small debt to Berkey because Berkey has a podcast and it would be dumb to scam him. Not withstanding the fact that “he didn’t scam me” is a dumb argument. A thief may not steal every time he goes to the store. If you come across a murderer, that doesn’t mean he’s going to kill you. Well, you see where I am going.

Also I want to be clear, as much as I am reminded how much I cant stand this podcast. I don’t dislike Berkey and his crew. I think they seem like good people. It’s just not my thing.

His scams are making headlines, he made it to the PokerBoom youtube channel. Also a few more articles about him linked below. I think we helped shed light on this as this thread has been getting mentioned. Good job everyone, we may just have saved someone from getting scammed by this slimy piece of shit going forward
