At what age would you refuse the vaccine?

Most people on this forum are middle aged or old, so the vast majority of members here have a very realistic danger from COVID causing long-term harm.

99% of the deaths in the US have been to people 35+, even though people under 35 make up almost 50% of the population.

Long term effects like permanent lung damage are a realistic danger for people over 45, whereas they are very uncommon for people under 30, and super rare for those under 16.

This is the reason they didn't even bother to study the effects of the vaccine on kids yet. The danger to them is substantially LESS than both the flu and suicide. (Incidentally, suicides in kids have gone way up during the lockdown -- something being mostly ignored by the media.)

It should also be known that the vaccines are NOT well tested for safety, since they were rushed out. There is no way to fully test a vaccine for safety without observing its effects for years.

But I'm not here to debate all of that.

I'm asking that if we could change your age, what would be the first age where you'd say NO to the vaccine? (If you wouldn't take the vaccine anyway at your present age, obviously this doesn't apply to you, but state that anyway.)

I'm going to make this a poll.

The point for me would be 29. If I were under 30, I wouldn't take the vaccine now. If I were 30, it would be close, but I'd lean slightly on the side of taking it.

At 49 (my present age), it's a no-brainer, even though I acknowledge the vaccine does carry a little bit of risk. There's also the fertility factor. That hasn't been studied yet, but at 49, that doesn't matter to me. That also might cause me to wait on the vaccine if I were 30 and didn't have kids, but I'm not sure.

But I'll go with 29.

I'm 26 and will take the vaccine

I have not and shall await a bit longer.
I would get it ,alas my GP says to wait.
I will keep digging myself and stay on point.
Side effects of the Shot are bad for ppl with respect issues to start with..

In a way I agree. I have been flu vaccinated once thanks to a nagging wife, god bless her dirty soul.
So under 30 I am not worried. Not even now at 49. But I still listen to the the scientists and it does not
put me out. I'm not under house arrest for instance. A mask is too much for you or whatever pronoun??

p.s. I do not fear my government to the point of refusing a vaccine. In a pandemic I'm all in.

A guy at my work got it last week, he is around 55 we will see how he recovers.

I think I’d want it at any age. I have heard multiple athletes in their 20s talk of still being winded six months after having COVID, and they’re in much better shape than average 20 year olds. so I think that lung damage is uncommon is as unknown as any potential long term safety concerns.

I’d just want the antibodies for other strains in the future. I’d imagine they’d offer some protection from it developing further if you happen to catch it early like those who caught it last March before we knew it was here

Still, I wouldn’t call anyone stupid if they were under 35 and wanted to wait. It’s a calculated risk. After that, it’s pretty clearly stupid.

Decent fitness level and clean bill of health 35-40.

Got the first dose of Pfizer Thursday. I would take it at any age. Sore arm next day for a few hours but all good. Looking forward to second dose 20 days from first.

Well he did have pancreatic cancer, so even with traditional treatments, he would have been fucked. That's the very worst of all cancers, with a survival rate of only 2% after 10 years, and 8% after 5 years.

He had a very similar cancer to me, just in a much worse place. A neuroendocrine tumor, but of the slower variety. I had a worse mutated version that was part exactly his and part of a faster growing version, so that he lived longer was a product of the tumor he had and the Whipple surgery. He got luckier on tumor, but I got way way luckier on location. He got pancreas and I got appendix. Hence why I’m still here. There is too much made of his hippy alternative medicine beliefs, as that cancer has little remedy anyway beyond surgical procedures. You can control symptoms with something called LAN, a nuclear medicine solution, but there isn’t a straight chemo for it or anything.

My uncles Ex-wife had pancreatic cancer and lived much longer than I expected she would. Can’t remember how long. Years when she was given six months. Probably 5. I posted about it here when she passed asking the Jews about burial as she was a Jew over by Philly and I knew I had to travel and was curious about the timing as expediency is a thing with your faith. Walter, iirc, gave me the lowdown. Our black Jew. They didn’t end up rushing it per custom. Family were only semi-serious Jews on that matter.

I remember I was still dealing with the tail end of mine when Jobs got sick, and I thought, this guy can throw a boatload of money at a rare tumor. I don’t wish anyone get sick, but I remember posting on NWP or DD, that if someone has to get it, best a multi-billionaire who will donate more than the annual budget trying to beat it


Back to vaccine.

Strangely, I had zero symptoms for first 48 hours. Nothing, not even a sore arm. I got Pfizer version.

At almost exactly 48 hours, I had a 3 hour stretch where I got the strangest pins and needles feeling in my fingertips and got dizzy and my nose started running liking crazy. I had never experienced anything like the pins and needles feeling in my fingers like that. I’ve had the sensation before, but not in that way where I hadn’t done anything. I get it occasionally in other places if I have done something like squats that compress spine.

It occurred on my right hand despite getting shot on left.

I googled it and it was a known small side effect. It passed in 3 hours, but was strange. Dizziness was more similar to vertigo where I had to reach for wall when I got up and the room was spinning. I’ve had that before with neck issues.

It was no big deal and had passed by evening and my nose stopped running and I went to gym this morning early and feel 100%. Was abrupt onset and abrupt departure. I don’t like giving fuel to the tards, but I’m into accuracy and facts, and it was certainly a weird 3 hours. I expect I’ll have a little something on second shot as that’s usually where the side effects occur.

Just made appointment this morning, 1st dose this Wednesday. Lucky they opened up the age group here starting today, So I just barely made it. My better half set hers today also. We are getting 40 minutes apart.
