Lots of influential people making big noise about this.
Fascinating how it will all play out. All sorts of implications for a lot of people.
The rape charges were an obvious fit-up. The details surrounding the rape allegations were quite outrageous.
Sweden has dropped all charges?
Hope the British government refuses to extradite him.
Guess he only has himself to blame, publically embarrassing the US government is a dangerous activity.
Yep, those Swedish charges were binned.
And yes, exposing the war crimes of America is risky business.
The only thing which will save him from a dark cell for life is if he has the goods on Trump. Which I suspect what this move is really about.
Snowden is furious.
i hope he gets extradited and thrown into guantanamo ASAP
sidenote he looks 47 years older than he did 2 years ago
I see Pam is taking the news well.
if pam thinks trump was involved with this arrest to rally his base, she's unimaginably stupid
but really though, i'd like him to be water boarded
Julian Assange screams DESPERATE final plea to Britain – 'You MUST RESIST'

:lol2
jesus, what a pussy. just take guantanamo like a man
Q predicted this.
Only one count against assange brought by the US related to helping chelsea manning hack the military. Maximum sentence of 5 years. Assange would already be out if he didn't hide.

(((prolly just a jooincidence)))
No shit, I would've guessed 67 years old not 47.
Assange will get life in prison and sent to SuperMax federal prison in Colorado.
Don't worry, after next years election, Trump will soon join him.

Quote:
Ecuador government just told journalists that Assange’s Ecuadorian citizenship has been suspended because of “innumerable problems, breaches of international accords and interference in external matters” and that Assange allegedly “smeared faeces on the walls of the Ecuadorian embassy”
:lol2
He should face justice but it’s a joke if we extradite him to the seppos
WikiLeaks had published hundreds of thousands of classified documents and videos that were leaked to the organization by Pfc. Chelsea Manning, known at the time as Pfc. Bradley Manning.
"I think it's disgraceful, I think there should be like death penalty or something," Trump said in 2010
:this
Been busy since this dropped. A cursory reading says he was arrested over Swedish warrant. Why do we assume we want him? The US? He’s been a mouthpiece for authoritarians lately. We presently have an authoritarian leader. Seems like the euros wanting to ward off what happened here happening there might want him. Why would this administration want him?
Calling for the death penalty of a man who exposed the war crimes of a terrorist nation does feel a little harsh.
Vice has leapt dick first into the argument that his arrest is a challenge to the first amendment.
toe the line blake
I see that now in regards to charges. I understand why the United States *should* want Assange, I’m still puzzled why this administration wants Julian Assange. When I heard the news break it was on some random news talk radio that was kind of a right wing talk show and I heard the guy saying the Obama justice department declined to pursue this matter and that the Trump justice department chose to revisit it and open it. I just found that puzzling given his love of Trump and that Trump has never given a single fuck what you do if you love him and help him.

Helped Manning to break into a computer that Manning ALREADY had access. :)
Note this is a conspiracy charge, and Manning had already sent hundreds of thousands of documents to Assange.... tight case.
Manning is back in prison for refusing to help the government case against Assange.
You shuffle the people that are involved in bureaucracy a bit more than euros, but there's still a good amount of people that remain in same positions through transitions of power. Assange got the support of Russia by mostly focusing on airing the dirt from west and generally avoiding dirt about certain eastern factions. He was always a target and Assange chose his side a long time ago.
