Loughlin, meanwhile, and her husband “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” court documents said.
$500,000 to get into USC? LOL. My son has applied to transfer there. I hope he gets in, but the business school is very competitive. If not, he will have to accept that his grades weren’t good enough and go somewhere else. Poor boy.
you mean you don't have aunt becky money jay??
and another thing, how fucking dumb do you have to be to make a bribe like this? seriously if you want your kid to go to USC, donate a mill ball to the endowment with a 'wink-wink-nudge-nudge' agreement that that gets your kid in the place...that shit is totally fucking legal...
this is damn near jussie level of fucking retarded...do they like suck out 99.9% of your brain when you get to Hollywood?
So funny the celeb kids are so dumb they can't even get into state schools ... Libtards 101
edit: much better if see full picture, click on it
right school; USC stands for University of Spoiled Children (everyone knows that in LA)
and the right one to go to if you want into the movie or music industry -- USC degree is union card
Not only celebs, dumbass.
The High-Powered Names In The College Admissions Bribery Scandal

Abdelaziz is a former Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International executive. He was one of the big wigs who helped setup Macao in 2013. He left Wynn in 2016 to launch Legacy Hospitality Group based out of Las Vegas.Quote:
Heinel was also allegedly bribed to represent the daughter of Gamel Abdelaziz as a recruited basketball player. The daughter was given falsified basketball credentials like “Asia Pacific Activities Conference All Star Team,” “2016 China Cup Champions,” and “Hong Kong Academy team MVP.” Heinel represented the daughter to the admissions committee using the fraudulent athlete profile and obtained permission to admit her as a basketball recruit. Heinel advised that Abdelaziz send $200,000 to the gift account for the Galen Center, the arena for USC’s basketball and volleyball programs. This would be redirected to Heinel. Abdelaziz wired a $300,000 payment to KWF, which the co-operating witness told him would be marked as a donation to help “underserved kids.” The daughter was admitted. Abdelaziz was instructed to corroborate Heinel’s story that his daughter suffered an injury, which explained why she wasn’t playing basketball at USC.Heinel was also allegedly bribed to represent the daughter of Gamel Abdelaziz as a recruited basketball player. LOL that no one in admissions ever saw "women's Chinese basketball league" and actually thought to question it. But yet again, women's basketball yeah why not just let em in as long as the check clears

yeah,...this about sums up college admissions and the competition
lol Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin
college admissions and exclusivity schools try and achieve is such a scam.
this is case and point people will pay more to get into this perceived "better" colleges
personally, if they upped the price to the top 50 colleges to 150/200K people will still pay it. really wonder why they don't do it
Another made up controversy.
News flash: George W Bush graduated from Yale and eventually became President of the USA
Rich and powerful people do what they can to help children
the newest legal scam is early decision to benefit those with means. it's all about money, period.
easy entry. bribe university sports coaches. nobody will suspect a thing. for starters they'll let C students into schools that you need straight A's to get into. the the college creates fake classes, or easier classes so that the school can make even more money with athletics with said student
it's a scam. the whole admissions process. and we buy into it hook line and sinker
This is a placeholder for Devidee
I didn't see this when opned my apoliges.
The feds allege one parent gave Singer $6.5 million to aid a single child.
fuck yeah,...i'm going to yale!!!. all it takes is a 6.5m bribe......lol
it's too bad hobart college isn't elite enough for them to get some of this grubby money. maybe if they start accepting only 10% peeps will think it's better
So Lori Loughlin paid $500k for her girls while others paid $15k....
The master mind did $25M in business over 10 years....
No wonder Lori Loughlin's girls had to get help, this woman paid grossly more than anyone else thus a self defense of stupidity is totally pliable.
Actress/HusbandArtist/StupidKids/NoShocker
I am guessing it is some sort of sliding scale where the more blatantly under qualified the child is relative to their peers, the bigger the bribe has to be. I am guessing the Trump family had to pay some pretty big bribes in their day to get him through kindergarten to graduating college.
she's a fucking idiot..i read that either her or macy's daughters didn't even want to go to college, or study, or be there, all all of it. i don't even get it.
20 years ago everyone got into USC. and now from what i gather it's pretty easy to transferi n if you want to go there badly enough..
but lol...a crew scholarship whe they don't even row..
i think you're right.
i recently read something that some peeps wanted to see trump's sat and high school gpa and he was ready to fight it to the end.
trump was prolly a B student at best and prolly didn't score 1200 and his SAT....they should investigate,,,and they should investigate obama's daughter....no way she was going to get refused gong to any school she wanted to attend. which obv was harvard.
100% rigged more that internet polka
Mulva posting about college admissions....never thought I'd see the day.
In my day (late '80s / early '90s), USC was the place you went to if you couldn't get into the University of California schools, and if your parents were rich enough to afford it.
Keep in mind that UC schools were cheap then, so the difference in tuition was yuuuuuuuuuuuge (it's still big, but not nearly as pronounced). I paid $1800 in tuition for a YEAR at UCSB in 1990-91.
Anyway, two things have vastly changed since then.
First, UC schools are no longer cheap. This was already rapidly changing as I went through college.
Second, USC has real standards now.
At one time, USC's dirty little secret was that the admissions standards were laughably low. They never admitted this, and in fact shoveled you BS at college fairs that "4.0 students sometimes get rejected", but every so often a magazine or newspaper article would come out exposing the truth. This was way before you could search shit like this on the internet.
I'm not sure when it changed, but it did. Now USC is fairly tough to get into. It's no Harvard by any means, but it's no longer just a place for mediocre kids with rich parents.
This scandal doesn't surprise me. College admissions has been a joke for a very long time, dating back before I was born.
When I was a young lad, I dated a girl who was a complete fuckup in high school. Smart girl, but a complete disaster in school, mostly due to having a really irresponsible mom who somehow had full custody of her.
Anyway, her dad was married to a woman who worked at some mid-level administrative job at USC. You could say it was a her "stepmom", but keep in mind that she did NOT live with her dad, nor was this woman related to her in any way.
Despite that, the woman had the authority to get her into USC. She was not a professor or very high ranking at the college. As I said, she was a mid-level administrator. Even with USC's low standards at this time, this kinda surprised me.
But it's not just USC. There is so much bullshit in college admissions.
There's the aforementioned nepotism.
There's the college athletics admissions, where they let in great athletes with horrible academics in order to win football and basketball games, in what is basically just an unpaid minor leagues system. (Obviously this is a huge debate/discussion in itself.)
There is the racial element, where Asians are horribly discriminated against, while other non-white minorities are given a tremendous advantage. (It was actually shown in a recent lawsuit that whites approximately break even in this system, and it's the Asians taking it up the ass.)
There's the silly "college essay" requirement, which is supposed to demonstrate who you are as a person, but in reality is just a competition as to whose parents (or hired coaches) can write the most impressive essay.
There is the idiotic emphasis on extracurricular activities regarding deciding who to admit, in a misguided attempt to admit "well rounded" kids. In reality, it's a competition as to which kids' parents are better at helping them puff up their extracurricular claims.
I'm not writing this stuff from a position of bitterness. I got into every school to which I applied. I ended up going to UCSB because I liked the atmosphere and the fact that it was not-too-close, not-too-far from LA.
But even as a 17-year-old, I found the entire admissions process to be a combination of shady and misguided.
Anyone else find it funny that the left starts calling for exposing Trump's grades, and making it a big deal how he got them sealed, then this comes out?
Trump using the DOJ to settle political scores and prove a point?
Either way, it's entertaining as fuck to watch. This never would have seen the light of day in a Hillary run DOJ.

The 1020 her daughter got was just about exactly the PSAT average.Quote:
Huffman is accused of paying $15,000 — disguised as a charitable donation — to the Key Worldwide Foundation so her oldest daughter could participate in the scam. A confidential informant told investigators that he advised Huffman that he could arrange for a third party to correct her daughter’s answers on the SAT after she took it. She ended up scoring a 1420 — 400 points higher than she had gotten on a PSAT taken a year earlier, according to court documents.
The 1420 cheating score was well over the 90th percentile.
I think “whites breaking even” in the current college admission system is hugely innacurate and part of the cultural Marxist disinformation campaign.
We treat “whites” like they are this monolithic interchangeable population. The truth is there is a very big divide between educated liberal elite whites in blue states and pretty much everyone else. The truth is the former group is helped A LOT by the current system, and the latter group is massively discriminated against. Non-rich whites who come from families without college education are the most under-represented group in colleges, and no one is lifting a finger to do anything about it.
As long as you can avoid being swallowed into self destructive inner city ghetto culture (which I admit is very hard due to peer pressure) there is probably a much clearer path to success being a poor black person in the US than a poor white one.
In europe every one is on the take, its just a way of life, Rich peoples kids go the best schools otherwise the schools would get run down and delapatated.
TBH one of the main reasons we left europe was to get away from massive corruption from the grocery store clerks to government offices and everyone in-between .
Have been trying for 4 years to build a cabin on a piece of property we purchased 20 or so years ago in a small mountain hamlet. an have been told it won't be a problem so long as we give the government official 10k euro fucking bullshit. my wife refused to pay and so now its a sweet camping area instead.
its fun to watch these smug cunts get there comeuppance i hope they all burn, strictly for the entertainment, drama.
:popcorn
How is any of this news?
Is this followed by an expose that sometimes there's favoritism towards athletes at every single school it matters?
A close friends daughter got rejected by USC last year. She applied to maybe 6 schools and was accepted by all the rest, including higher profile schools. She was pretty sure she was goikg elsewhere anyway, but her rejection letter was super strange. It rejected her, and then listed an explanation of what a typically accepted freshman application looked like. It had like 5 bullet points saying the average accepted freshman had a 32 on ACT, she had a 35. It gave the average SAT, and hers was much higher. GPA and advanced courses were all much higher. All five bullet points she was well above and I happened to be visiting the weekend after she got the rejection letter and wasn’t really upset, but was like “wtf, why even include this benchmark average when I’m well above all of them if they’re going to reject me?” I laughed when I saw this story.

"i want the experience of game day, partying. i don't really care about school"
Mumbles its no secret students exercising something other then the liberal socialist party line are indeed discriminated against in colleges where they have to expose their political beliefs in classes such as required crap like sociology, political science etc.. The irony the areas where conservatives don't have to reveal their political leanings are more likely to be chosen by more purely objective and usually left leaning folks such as hard sciences (more likely to be athiests, etc not all obviously but more often they are less conservative and spiritually leaning in general)..
This hasn't aged well....

Olivia Jade was on the yacht of Rick Caruso, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at USC, when this all went down.
But it's not as scandalous as it sounds. His daughter also goes there, and I guess Olivia became friends with her.
Too bad they weren't friends before she applied to USC, or otherwise this could have been avoided.
Olivia got off the yacht because she was afraid it would look bad if people discovered that's where she was.
Pretty much this.
But a story like this has been a long time coming.
Hopefully this will lead to a public exploration of what a fucking joke college admissions has been for decades, and some serious reform will occur.
More likely, some other scandalous news story will hit, and this will get buried.
Jussie Smollett can't believe his good fortune.
I hope the IRS is watching and will audit all of the folks who took bribes and didn't pay taxes on them. Fuckers.
Is this news? Why now?, this shit seems to have been going on since time immemorial.....
Sociology is not normally a required class, but students looking for a gut “liberal arts/humanities” course to meet a core non-major requirement probably take it versus an English, Literature, or Languages course. Also, poly sci isn’t uniformly dominated across academia by liberals as sociology is.
