Reasons:
1) The "perks" being given to transfer from Bovada to Ignition suck, and are nearly worthless.
2) Ignition has various "new player" bonuses which seem superior to any "transfer over" bonus, and I assume everyone qualifies for them if they don't have an Ignition account. After all, it's a "new company", right? (Wink wink!)
3) I am hearing rumblings about possible rakeback on Ignition for new accounts. Don't have the info yet, but I am hearing rumors of this.
Thoughts?
Unless things have changed by transferring you get $10 and some mtt ticket which we all know Druff can't wait to play in.
You can still get $100 poker drop bonus or whatever it is called by making a deposit afterwards on Ignition. The rest of the bonuses last I looked were only for casino games with huge rollovers so they are worthless.
Most people have reported they don't have to send in verification if they transfer to cashout so that is a big thing too because dealing with these sites with verification is a time consuming pain in the ass sometimes.
If their truly would be rakeback then that would be a game changer worthy of spending time to verify your account. I doubt this happens knowing they way this network has operated over the years.

I wonder how quickly they will become the same company when someone maxes out 20 stolen credit cards and transfers it all over.
I've at least used 20 different cards their to deposit lifetime. Including paying girlfriends/friends/brother cash to use their card when like five different banks/card companies blocked me from international purchases and both greendot and netspend shut down my account... Yeah I'm a degen.
The point is they have never checked card info vs. account info.

Druffs likely right.. You also can transfer funds directly from Bovada to Ignition (assuming you have the minimum amount to transfer).. I kinda was being a donk as I hadn't played Bovada in awhile.. (Id deposited on Ignition already to get the deposit bonus) Laugh ok yes feel free to laugh.. I have 4.85 on Bovada right now and guess what the minimum to transfer is $5.00.. I sent a message to support saying hey dummies that's great you told me how to send it except I told you before I only have $4.85 in the acct to transfer over.. Imagine how much money these clowns are gonna get for free from folks who cant move said small amounts.. Nothing new yet, but I think there is very little downside to simply waiting 'til October 1 and creating a completely new Ignition account.
The perks for transferring over are very poor, and I have to imagine that new signup bonuses on Ignition will be at least equal, and likely superior. The only downside I see is having to verify your account again which can be a hassle and if they actually do offer a bigger bonus it will be harder to clear because points are accumulated at about half the rate as Bovada.
I can also see them offering Ignition redeposit bonuses from time to time just because of it being harder to clear where they might hit some peak wall wanting more people to put money on. That is unless they really want to kill poker altogether which I don't completely think is the case. By offering bitcoin cashouts it barely costs a site money so to just stop an auto pilot raking revenue stream of even a 100k a day would be silly.
I have heard what druff said, but am thinking about just transferring over anyway, so I dont have to deal with having to verify my account. In the past I have had to do back and forth with them for weeks with my account frozen, while trying to get it verified. I'm not sure if I want to deal with that. I wouldn't think it would be an issue.. I moved funds over finally yesterday but there was nothing to force me to move it all just had to be min $5.00.. Other then that parlay with Red Sox and the Under against Baltimore I have used Bovada for Sports in awhile.. The lines are just off too much for my liking compared to some other sites and lines are sometimes not posted till the morning of some games (they were horrible about it last NCAA BB season) so by time Id be able to bet their li ne was skewed compared to my insider info suggestions I got for points/lineQuote:

I did transfer at the very last minute hoping it would get leaked on the website a day or two before about a new bonus. Them fuckers lol. I'd never get in 10k of points in a month though but I know I would clear at least level 6 ($400 total) or 7 ($650) so that sucks but I thought they would wait until the middle of the month or next month to do something like this just to not make it look shady as hell but nope.

You can be a "new" player by simply signing up new. Or at least I think that's how it works.
Sucks that the bonus has to be earned in 30 days, though. I guess they're trying to drum up action.

heads up on the bonus. I didn't create a new account and deposit till 10/28. After I did it didn't automatically create a poker welcome bonus for me (only the casino). I had to email Bovada, err I mean Ignition. Good news is they quickly replied, fixed it, and credited me the first $5 I earned that night.
Bad news is tonight I logged in for the second time. the $5 credit was there and the bonus showed up in my dashboard. I played a quick session and by the time I was done it had disappeared. I just sent them a note asking to have it reinstated and for a credit on the additional $20 I should've earned.

Finally got on ignition.
Flopped like 3 sets in my first 15 hands.
Then it was all downhills from there, and got coolered repeatedly and missed flops repeatedly.

Anyway, like you, I didn't see the poker bonus. I e-mailed them and got a lame form letter.
I e-mailed again and they told me that the poker bonus is there, but you just can't see it, and it will generate as soon as I earn the proper # of poker points.
I'm skeptical of that, but I'll see if it really does once I get there. At least I have this in writing now.
In general. Bovada (err.... I mean Ignition) is good as far as keeping any promise that they can verify -- either things written to you by e-mail or things said on the phone. (They record EVERY phone call you make to them.)
Customer service generally sucks there, but at least they are reputable enough to honor any promise they can verify.
For example, on Bovada this year I had a situation where the rep wrongly told me how to qualify for a bonus, and I ended up not getting it. After verifying the conversation, they honored the terms she told me on the phone.
So always make sure that Ignition promises you something directly, either in e-mail or on the phone.
FWIW I talked to a rep about rb and when they were done laughing they told me to pound sand.
That said, Im probably moving back to NY soon so Im not too up in arms about it.
