Appropriate flying attire?

This girl, who calls herself "Maggie McMuffin" (apparently a burlesque stage name) wasn't allowed to board a JetBlue flight for showing up like this:

She made some obnoxious statement to the press about "slut shaming", "body shaming', and "misogyny" which made me instantly want to take the airline's side.

Always wondered what happened to Beebs.

There was some ridiculous incident on Southwest a few years ago where a girl wearing a short but mostly normal-looking skirt was denied boarding.

I was totally on her side on that one.

With this... I see JetBlue's point. They should have a right to ask passengers to not look like they're boarding the plane in their underwear.

It's not "slut shaming" or anything against women, because I'm pretty sure they would also deny me boarding if I were to show up wearing "pants" that look like underwear.

What a mess. People actually pay real monies to get eroticized?

Looks like a normal pair of shorts to me.

My problem is that they look really thin, like underwear. Maybe it's just the picture, but I think that's what was bothering the JetBlue people.

The length of them isn't the problem.

But I think "shorts" with the consistency/look of underwear aren't really appropriate for an airplane.

I'd have to imagine that every single one of the Kardashians have worn less than this on a plane.

I don't get what it matters. Who is she hurting or endangering, by sitting in a seat for hours in shorts? If someone was in a swim suit, who is that hurting? I think you are showing your age here Druff.

People on planes are disgusting. Picking noses, fat, what do you expect?

They ought to be tougher on smells rather than outfits. People with heavy BO or those that bathe in cologne should be forced to shower before boarding.

Semi-related question --- do any of you dress differently when you fly first class?

I'll admit that most of the time I used to dress up a bit. But one day I said fuck it and wore a velour tracksuit. Flight attendants treated me like god that flight.

Ever since then I've dressed super casual (eg, shorts and t-shirts or more tracksuits) and each time I've received better service than when I was wearing a suit and tie.

Any of yall ever noticed if the first class flight attendants treat you differently depending upon how you're dressed? If so, have they treated you better the nicer you're dressed or has the reverse been true for you like it has been for me? Druff, as a casually dressing rich guy, I'm sure you've got some experience with this.

Over saturation killed the baseball card market. Fucking topps, donruss, fleer, upper deck etc put out too many cards. It got to the point that if Cal ripken Jr took a shit there were a dozen different cards made to commerate his turd. Last time I was at my parents' house I fished my collection outta the attic and took a look at it. What was probably 5 or 10 thousand dollars in the mid 90s is maybe now 300 bucks if I'm lucky. About the only card I have that's worth shit these days is my Billy ripken fuck face card. Hell I remember when Tony gwyn or wade boggs rookie cards were worth like $120 but now I might as well use them as a coasters. And don't even get me started on daryl strawberry.
