McCarthy is blowing this. The solution to screw the Democrats was simple. Pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the govt knowing full well the Democrats in the Senate wouldnt touch it. It was that simple. If they had done so then they could claim it was the Democrats who shut down the government because they either refused to consider the CR or voted it down.
