Now its all about the hysteria of Obstruction of Justice which in this case is about as flimsy as it gets. Comey is going to come across as just another attention whore who craves the spotlight. He never met a television camera has not ran to in order to get his mug on TV. He'll have his own TV show in a year, just watch.

Trump is corrupt, compromised, inattentive, impulsive, ignorant, narcissistic and prone to tantrums. This was all apparent before anyone knew anything about Russia. Smoking gun or no smoking gun is not the issue. Demanding personal loyalty from law enforcement officials is the opposite of the "nation of laws, not of men" that the founders designed. He's not fit to be president of a boy scout troop.

note that none of them even suggest they think comey is lying.

instead, they think it's no big deal that the president: demanded loyalty from the fbi director while trump's team was being investigated for collusion with the russians; pressured comey to clear flynn; asked comey to put out statements clearing him; fired comey for refusing to do so; lied to the public by saying that the only reason comey was fired was because of comey's mishandling of the clinton email saga; and later backtracked and admitted that comey's handling of the russian investigation was part of the reason he was fired.
