If we elect a candidate who's not owned by the corporations, we can escape war. It's worth noting our entire media are pro war for profit corporations. Nostradamus aka Pierce makes a strong case we cannot vote our way out. He quotes scientific studies and books about the effectiveness of propaganda. He says that's why we always push for Democracy because with proper propaganda the population can be contained within a certain range of ideologies.

I think he's wrong, if Bernie runs in 2020 and loses he's right, if Bernie or a third party wins he's probably wrong. Maybe there'll be a race in the midterms where his theory will be tested, we'll see.

Now that i think about it.
Cenk's introducing a bunch of Democrat's in the primary and the one rule is they don't take corporate or super pac money. Those candidates will be a better test than Bernie, they'll be up against the entire propaganda apparatus.

The other day I was thinking to myself, when he was firing off those tasteless tweets directed at the mayor of London, that literally millions of insults have been hurled at Trump over the past two years, but short-fingered vulgarian is still the absolute gold standard at capturing the essence of Trump.
