Looked like Purdue u56.5 could win, given a few mins left in a 35-20 game after a TD. Probably not. Syracuse moved it quickly and will likely score, and my over needs 22 to tie in the 4th.

Wow looks like I got lucky with Purdue. At the 14, Purdue committee a 10 yard penalty, then couldn't get a 1st down, and didn't bother with FG due to the score. Probably gonna land on 55. That would make me a guaranteed small winner today at minimum.
Edit: wow, a 39 yard rush by Syracuse and now they might score in final minute. Ugh.
Syracuse got it to the 16 but just let it go. Phew!
Houston over likely to lose. So I probably go 4-4 with a small win thanks to Gators.

How good has my NFL early season been between this year and last?
From Week 1-7 in 2022-23, and the present Week 1-2 in 2023-24, I made 27 picks.
One of them, last year's Saints, had a key injury after I made the pick, and I lost. Another pick, Giants vs Dallas under 38.5, lost by 0.5 I bet it close to game time, but almost the entire time the line was 39+, meaning it would have been a tie or win had I fired just a little earlier.
The other 25 picks? They went 24-0-1.
So that's 24 wins, 1 tie, one 0.5 point loss due to a line move, and one loss due to an injury. No other losses.
I hate to interrupt the NFL with a MLB season long update but things are really starting to come to fruition.
Strider may have one of the margins of victory in the category since Bob Gibson in 68.
Oakland clinched under 59.5 a few hours ago. Its hard to lose 103 games but somehow they did it with 2 weeks to spare. Hopefully they get to Vegas soon.
My beloved Red Sox should help the Rangers get over 82.5 wins, if not tomorrow certainly this homestand. Really thought the Rangers were going to be a 100 win team and be a natural world series partner vs Atlanta. Have to settle for the over 82.5
The rockies magic number is 4… 4 losses. Of this team cab go 10-3 to close out the year I guess they get my money. Stranger things….
And last but not least
I never root for an injury. Its a bitch was to gamble. Ronald Acuna has had an incredible season. The clear NL MVP. The Braves are the best team in baseball even with suspect pitching that may haunt them in the playoffs. That said there is absolutely zero reason to put the presumptive MVP on the field with a strained calf its time to let that heal up and go into the playoffs fresh. Hes taken two days off to rest and our horse Luis Arraez picked up 5 hits to pull into two back for most season long hits. Miami is in a virtual 4 way tie for the playoffs and ever since they mismanaged the lineup when bell got there by moving Luis back to the three hole he has now filled the 12 hit gap that was there just over a week ago. Lets do the right thing and let Luis win the total hits crown for us at +2200
Looks like this is the end of my undefeated NFL season.
Should've left well enough alone. The books liking NE pushed me over the top to do it.
