basically the judges asked the banks lawyers today to confirm the banks had the fucking financial declarations / tax returns for trump's loans and the lawyers literally said they dont even know. so the judges gave them 48 hours to provide a written declaration that they did or did not have them and the lawyers were like uhhh ok we promise to at least respond in writing.

Trump actually does have a lot of valid complaints about what China has been doing. They have engaged in a lot of intellectual property theft, have manipulated markets, and will dump or manipulate currency in order to beat American companies.
The average consumer is also often hurt by China's actions, as well. There's a ton of counterfeit and low quality merchandise flooding the market (especially via Amazon) which sells for much cheaper than their much higher quality American counterparts, but appears on the surface to be "same but cheaper". While this isn't directly sanctioned by the Chinese government, they also have no issue with this occurring.
Trump isn't going about this the right way, of course. Even if Trump's actions end up being effective long term, we would still have to endure a "gets worse before it gets better" phase for quite some time, and I don't think America has the patience for that.
the chinese have psychologically evaluated trump and determined that all they have to do is refuse to do a deal with him and he will have a legit breakdown, leading to rage tweet after rage tweet that crashes the stock market. this, of course, worsens his re-election chances.
this is the part where having a mental defective in the white house might be problematic.

i think the salient lesson from 2016 is not to distrust polls, its to pursue greater diligence in weighing data.
this is a significant data trend at bar.. for trump to win in 2020 he needs the same lightening in a bottle that he captured in 2016; dems to stay home and moderate centrists to buy his snake oil. and the story that the data (polls and pretty much everything else) is telling is that both of those trends are reversing and the root cause is trumps descent into open madness combined with a total lack of positive results.
