Micon said a lot of the media coverage he has seen has been "sensationalized," and focused on privacy concerns, like the time a drone was spotted buzzing around a Vancouver condo tower.
But Micon said as the technology becomes more common, those issues will iron themselves out.
"Sure, maybe everybody at this stage doesn't understand how to use them out of the box," he said.
"I think within a few years though, they'll just become so ubiquitous ... it will become less scary for people."
so anyway i bought another one after my little accident and got a range extender (line of sight) added so i could fly it over the water had a blast. till i lost contact and it just disappeared never to be seen again. my wife told me to take a break from the drone fun, I have a buddy who has a ski shop near the Drones Plus in vancouver and may drop by there next week to have a look at something a little more high tec, will post trip report when i go.

Some dickhead was flying a drone around today. And by dickhead I mean constant circles around a few houses. Either a noob, teenager or pedo.
What's the best method of bringing them down? Either electronically or perhaps a bb gun or something similar?
