This isn't a bad idea IF and ONLY IF the money were used to either salvage SSRI/Medicare or reduce the National Debt -- LOL, I know. But in all seriousness, why wouldn't this be a vast improvement over the draconian income taxes we pay?
TMI I realize, but technically we are supposed to report gambling earnings above the line and deductions only come under it; hence an artificially increased AGI which then kicks you out of almost all other available deductions and credits, etc. Soooooooo, why should stock trading be any different?
